Riot, despite dying in "Avengers: The Initiative" #20, is back to life here, having happened offscreen prior to this issue. Ryder claims she was dead about "a week".

Ryder apparently became teammate Catwalk's boyfriend sometime after the original mini-series.

Calendar notes: In the main story, it's night, no moon ever visible, no stars ever visible but no clouds.

Recap page:
Page 1: Spring. "Soon after Reed Richards turned the original shape-changing Skrull Invaders into cows." A common cow mates with a bull Skrull who hops over the fence to be with her. "Moo Romance" Only 25 cents!
Pages 2-9: Night. "Today". Los Angeles. A pair of drunk girls named Britney & Melanie go with a Skrull disguised as a human to a club in the meat packing district. It appears Thor is the bouncer! Across the street at the "Big City Diner", Ryder surveys the scene, talking on his cell to teammate Riot, who sulks in a motel. She's surprised to learn of such a large Skrull gathering after Osborn stopped the invasion. Ryder makes his way over to the warehouse club, while talking to Riot, who apparently no longer wants to be on the team after having died and come back. Inside, Melanie is eventually strung up like cattle, ready for the slaughter. Did I mention these Skrulls are all decendants of the original Skrull Cows, who mated with real cows? They are, right down to having black spotted sections on their bodies despite appearing in human form.
Page 10: The Skrull Cow, named Hector, is discovered gone by his owner, only to have him show up suddenly, having shape-shifted to fit in the fence just in time.
Pages 11-15: Continued from before, Ryder climbs to the top of the warehouse, as Riot talks to him, theorizing these Skrulls are likely partying because they weren't part of the invasion force, and figures out there were more Skrull Cows, namely offspring. Ryder drops into the club through the skylight, firing on Skrulls with his shapeshifting arm in gun mode. Melanie's already been butchered, Britney's up next. Ryder saves her from Skrull Thor, she drunkenly hits on him, and they find themselves surrounded.
Page 16: "One Year After The Previous Previously". A Skrull Cow Offspring watches a dragonfly, and accidentally sprouts wings like it for a moment, scaring off other cows.
Pages 17-21: Ryder protects Britney as the Skrulls attack, and his firepower is superior to their abilities. Skrull Thor puts up a better fight, but still ends up getting his head blown off. After finishing up, Ryder takes a Skrull corpse with him for later investigating, while Britney goes home with him, the dead Skrull the same one she went to the club with to begin with.
Pages 22-23 panel 6: "One Year After The Previous Previously..." Half-moon is visible. Skrull Cow Offspring watches sadly as another cow is led to slaughter, leaving only her. The next day, she spies the owner's young child, and transforms into a human being for the first time.
Pages 23 panel 7 to 24: Upon bringing Britney to his house in San Fernando Valley, Ryder discovers Viola Reichardt personally dropped by to give him the equipment to check on the corpse. She's a HAMMER agent, ya see. She reminds him if he keeps up his crusade against Skrulls, they won't be able to give him operational support, but she does draw some of his blood before leaving him to have drinks with Britney.
Page 25: The next morning, at HAMMER HQ , Reichardt's assistant gives her the report on Ryder's blood sample, having ran it twice. Turns out, the Skrull Kill Krew aren't mutations, but full fledged Skrulls now! At his home, Ryder leaves Britney in bed and stares out the window at the dawn.
Skrull Kill Krew Saga: "Weekly Weird News: Who Are the Skrull Kill Krew?" by Ed Fury. 10 pages.

SKRULL KILL KREW VOL 2 #2 [July 2009]
"Apocalypse Cow!"
Writer: Adam Felber
Pencils: Mark Robinson & Rob DiSalvo
Inks: Mike Getty & Rob DiSalvo

Cast:
RYDER
3-D MAN III/DELROY GARRETT JR
RIOT/HEIDI SLATKIN
MOONSTOMP/ (just a head, comes back to life)
CATWALK/KIMBERLY DEE (head in jar)
DICE/ROB FORTUNE (head in jar)

Other characters:
Melanie Mitchell (Riot's Match.com date)
Skrulls (most die)
Human livestock (some die)
Skrullverine (Skrull who thinks he's Wolverine)

Continuity notes: The cover is bannered "Dark Reign".

The "new" President is black, as is mentioned several times.

There's a generic remembrance of Moonstomp in various shape-shifting roles, including one bonking a Thing Skrull on the head.

Calendar notes: Green, full trees. No moon at night, just like last issue.

Recap Page:
Page 1: Ryder returns home with groceries and a dead cowboy-attired Skrull. 3-D Man drops by, tries to offer help but Ryder turns him down, and rejects his Official 3-D Man Newsletter. Once inside, Riot waits, tells him about her big date.
Page 2: "Earlier that day". Riot showers and readies herself for a date with a girl named Melanie she met on Match.com. She talks to Ryder on the phone, he confirms her suspicions about Earth-born, Cow-born Skrulls.
Page 3: A few hours later, at the Santa Monica Pier, Melanie comes to meet Riot, calling herself Daphne. Did I mention Riot's still stuck in her hideous bug form? Yeah, doesn't go well, apparently.
Page 4-18: Back to where we left off in the now, Riot discovers a card for a Reverse Rodeo on the dead Skrull. Even though she quit the team, she's not getting action anywhere else tonight, so she goes with Ryder to this Rodeo near Diamond Bar. It's a stadium full of Skrulls dressed as Cowboys, roping and riding humans. Ryder tries to liberate the livestock, but they're all sub/dom role players who get off on being cows! They even think the safe word of "moo" will help them. Ryder tries to convince them of the danger, but fails. Luckily, they change their minds when they see the rodeo's star "Thunderbolt" get butchered. during the Cow Cull Poo-Rade. Ryder & Riot start killing Skrulls, and during the battle, Riot manages to stretch her arm out, much to her joy. But they're still outnumbered by Skrulls. Luckily, Wolverine shows up! Seems he was one of the lifestock, and is even wearing a cow-pattern harness as part of his undercover role. He helps the pair finish off the Skrulls, spouts some Wolverine cliches, and departs. While driving home, Riot & Ryder get a laugh, but are confused by why a Skrull would help them kill other Skrulls, and if he even knows they know he's one. Anyway, Riot's happy to show off her restored shape-shifting ability, even trying to get her old face back. It's a slow process, but it's a start, she thinks it has to do with dying and coming back. This gives Ryder an idea. He goes into his garage, digs up the three jars with their dead teammates' heads, picks up Moonstomp's jar, brings him in the living room and dumps his head on the floor. Riot heads home while he awaits the return of another teammate.
Pages 19-22: Riot goes home, crawls into bed, crying. Skrullverine goes home and vanishes. Ryder waxes philosophical about how in LA, at night, each home is like its own little city. By morning, Riot wakes up, back to her old self at last. Moonstomp's head returns to life and finds Ryder's speech stupid. Ryder kicks him. He promises Moonstomp's body will come about soon enough, but first, as he's a captive audience, he gleefully tells the White Supremacist about the US's new President.

SKRULL KILL KREW VOL 2 #3 [September 2009]

Inks: Mike Getty & Rob DiSalvo

Cast:
REICHARDT, VIOLA
MOONSTOMP/
RYDER
RIOT/HEIDI SLATKIN
CATWALK/KIMBERLY DEE (returns to life)
DICE/ROB FORTUNE (returns to life)
3-D MAN III/DELROY GARRETT JR

Other characters:
Eva (Riot's girlfriend, a Skrull)
Reichardt's assistant (named Marcie here)
Skrulls (most die)
Skrullverine
Skrullverine 2 (dies)

Continuity notes: The cover is bannered "Dark Reign".

There's a generic team remembrance by Moonstomp on page 9 panel 4, showing Ryder, bug-form Riot, Catwalk, Dice, and a cow-horned Moonstomp rushing forth generically. It could be placed really anywhere between SKK 5 and before A:TI #whatever.

Goofs: 3-D Man is joining Agents of Atlas, while the Skrull Kill Krew is returning to comics limbo. WHO'S THE LOSER NOW, HUH?!

Calendar notes: Moonstomp claims it's "2009". There's a full moon at night. And clouds.

Recap Page:
Page 1: Day. HAMMER HQ, Viola Reichardt is told by her assistant, Marcie, that Ryder's blood results have been rechecked again with the same result. Viola reminds her who the Skrull Kill Krew are, showing her a picture of the team taken from Steve Yeowell's cover to issue 5 of the original mini. She laments their tragic sense of timing, fighting a secret invasion of Skrulls before the Secret Invasion when nobody cared, and now fighting more after it when nobody cares again. She has Marcie arrange transport.
Page 2-7: Day. LA, Valley. Ryder's house. Moonstomp is still a head on the floor. Dice & Catwalk are still in jars. Riot's off hitting on girls at a club. 3-D Man, "the newest member", is in his bedroom putting on his tights. Ryder wanders the streets, watching a loving Skrull couple. Soon, on Melrose Ave. Riot walks down the street, spots an attractive girl, gives her number, but discovers she's a Skrull. She's stunned to find herself attracted to a Skrull, who turns out to also be a Lesbian (imagine the odds?). Moonstomp, meanwhile, imagines himself a body, and slowly one rebuilds. Once he's back on his feet, Ryder comes in, he makes a lewd comment about using Catwalk as just a head, and gets punched. Moonstomp wants to go give some "White Man's Justice" to some Skrulls, but Ryder points him to the mirror. Moonstomp's skin tone is now fully black from head to toe.
Page 8: Riot gets a Skrull face tattooed on her stomach and manipulates it into a living creature or something (it vanishes after this, so just forget the whole thing). Anyway, while that's happening, her secret Skrull love interest calls and sets up a date.
Page 9-10: It's night now. Dice is de-jarred on the table, while Catwalk's head gets lovingly laid down in the bedroom. Riot drives, crying. Moonstomp hangs out facing the Hollywood sign, using his black status to vent his anger by baiting some skinheads and beating the tar out of them.
Page 11-12: Riot returns to Ryder's house, informing him of where a Skrull cell gathering is going to be (not explaining it's where her girlfriend set a date up). Dice's nearly got his whole body back, as does Catwalk, who emerges nude. Riot takes Dice away to finish his body elsewhere, while the lovebirds Ryder & Catwalk have some alone time. I should note its daylight here, yet is the same day as before, so this scene has to be before Moonstomp's.
Page 13: "Sevenish" that night. The whole team regroups at Ryder's place, Moonstomp covered in blood from bumping into "old mates". Dice wonders if these rich Skrulls they're targeting are bad, and gets head bonked by Moonstomp for asking.
Page 14-20: Later, just off Laurel Canyon in Hollywood Hills, a gathering of rich, influential Skrulls is occurring. While Ryder, Catwalk & Riot mingle undercover inside, Dice discusses with Moonstomp their resurrection. He gets metaphysical, how they made themselves out of nothing, and therefore everything, which they are now part of (he's the hippie surfer, remember), and he can feel everything now. Moony just wants to kill something. Wolverine drops by, tells the pair he has their back, and heads on in. You know, the party is all Skrulls. All rich Cow Skrulls, the host of which is a TV producer. Riot gets Eva, her girlfriend, to leave before Ryder & Catwalk begin the slaughter. Wolverine saves Catwalk from a large Skrull, but what do you know, another Wolverine appears! Clearly, one is a Skrull (both are Skrulls, but shh). They fight off into the night against each other. Having killed everyone at the party, the team departs, Dice lamenting their roles as murderers.
Pages 21-22: Still night. Wolverine & Wolverine fight until it appears both are dead and back to being Skrulls. Riot watches Eva go home. Dice makes his hand go all squidgy. Moonstomp spots a Skrull and heeads off to kill it. At Ryder's house, he and Catwalk find Viola waiting for him. She gives him the test results, that at least genetically, the entire Skrull Kill Krew team are fully Skrulls now.

SKRULL KILL KREW VOL 2 #4 [October 2009]
"Cow Can't Help It!"
Writer: Adam Felber
Pencils: Mark Robinson
Inks: Mike Getty

Cast:
RYDER
RIOT/HEIDI SLATKIN
MOONSTOMP/
CATWALK/KIMBERLY DEE
DICE/ROB FORTUNE
REICHARDT, VIOLA

Other characters:
Eva (Riot's girlfriend)
Skrullverine (dies)
Skrulls (most die)
Melinda & Stan (Stampede Webshow contestants; latter dies)
Reichardt's assistant Marcie

Continuity notes: The cover is bannered "Dark Reign".

Goofs: The recap page calls Viola Reichardt "Viola Richard".

Calendar notes: Half-moon (first quarter) visible in the sky at night.

Recap page:
Pages 1-8: The Skrull Kill Krew track down the source of a Skrull webcast game show called "Stampede", where they kill humans who answer questions wrong. They save a contest, kill the host & crew, and dismantle the equipment. Ryder hasn't been able to process the revelation of his Skrullness and is becoming self-hating. Moonstomp is the one most okay with this since he lives on self-hate. Riot tries to deny her lack of a problem with being a Skrull now by tracking where the webshow equipment came from. Dice, who didn't kill anything, threatens to quit the team, and Moonstomp threatens him. Riot tracks the source of the camera, a guy named Phil at a movie studio. He's a Skrull and knew what was going on, so she "interrogates" him.
Pages 9-10: An hour later, Riot gets to Ryder's house (finding Ryder morphed into Catwalk and Catwalk into Ryder for their latest sexcapade) and informs Ryder, who seems to have gotten over his self-hate, about Moonstomp wanting to kill Dice and Dice's feelings that no one can hurt him anymore. Dice floats above the ground all mystically at the beach, and Moonstomp rides a motorcycle.
Pages 11-14: Dice arrives an hour late. He explains his feeling of immortality, due to the fact they all already died. When they died, the Skrull DNA they got in them from eating the hamburgers long ago finished off what was left of their human DNA. He even figures Ryder, who didn't die, must've at some point, maybe in his sleep. Dice gets especially trippy when saying their minds come from DNA that isn't there anymore, so unlike regular humans or Skrulls, who have the same minds that came with their bodies, the SKK are all "free" from the trappings of bodies. He no longer has anger and can't kill with the Krew anymore. Catwalks reminds him they didn't murder anyone, but he points out the party had no human prisoners, the Skrulls at that party were born on Earth and just want to live here as people, which they were to him. Moonstomp wants to kill him, Ryder lets him, but he apparently can't, as Dice ceases to physically exist, speaking to them from outside reality (namely outside the panels of this comic), which he claims they're call capable of. Moony is none too happy. Eva comes to the door and informs them they're in trouble, with everyone but Riot & Dice ready to give the Skrull girl trouble themselves.
Page 11 panel 3: FB. Riot lying on the ground at Camp Hammond, dying, with note "*See Avengers: The Initiative #20 --S.W." Nothing new.
Page 11 panel 4: FB. Dice, Catwalk, and Moonstomp's heads in jars, as seen during that issue, I believe. Nothing new.
Page 15: HAMMER HQ. Marcie informs Reichardt that the "native-born Skrull population" they just started monitoring is amassing together outside Ryder's house. Viola doesn't consider this a threat, since the native-born Skrulls are increasingly peaceful, and the Skrull Kill Krew are all super-powered, self-hating, and now lack the death sentence hanging over their heads they once had. So she's just going to let the two forces sort themselves out. Looks like dawn wherever Hammer HQ is.
Pages 16-20: Back at the nighttime LA, Riot admits she's dating a Skrull and protects Eva from her team, Dice rematerializes, pointing out they're all Skrulls now. Moony fails to kill him again. Eva explains the militant Skrulls heard about the party massacre and are there to get revenge. In fact, one peek outside, they're there now, dozens upon dozens of them! Dice thinks this counts as self-defense. They choose the Butch & Sundance stratagem, and rush outside, guns blazing. Most of the Skrulls are newbies and don't put up much of a fight. Luckily, to help with the tougher ones, they have help from Wolverine!
Pages 21-22: After the battle (still night, "several violent moments later"), a yard full of Skrull corpses littered everywhere. The team gets organizes. Wolverine tells them to remember Xavier's dream. Moonstomp asks what happened with the other Skrullverine, he claims he finished it off, since there can only be one. Moony, true to form, points out not even one can exist, and kills him. The team seems stunned, Riot & Dice especially appauled, but Ryder says he did the right thing, since they're the Skrull KILL Krew. Catwalk & Moony agree, but the rest? Not so happy.

SKRULL KILL KREW VOL 2 #5 [December 2009]
"Slaughterhouse Five"
Writer: Adam Felber
Pencils: Mark Robinson
Inks: Mike Getty w/ Mark Robinson

Cast:
RYDER
RIOT/HEIDI SLATKIN
MOONSTOMP/
CATWALK/KIMBERLY DEE
DICE/ROB FORTUNE
GREEN GOBLIN/NORMAN OSBORN JR
HAND, VICTORIA
REICHARDT, VIOLA
O'BRIEN, CONAN (on TV)

Other characters:
Eva (Riot's Skrull girlfriend)
Reichardt's assistant Marcie
Skrulls (some die; one named Bill Tomlinson who runs Conan's network)
HAMMER agents (die)

Continuity notes: The cover is bannered "Dark Reign".

Conan isn't named, but it's him. One could retroactively say his joking about Norman cost him his job on the Tonight Show in the MU, maybe?

There's another team shot, this one full frame this time. Page 13 panel 4. In the desert at day. Ryder rides is bike, Catwalk stands up behind him, holding three or so Skrull severed heads. Riot rides her bike in insectoid form. Dice rides his bike. Moonstomp rides his bike (and is full black, a mistake). Could be anytime after SKK 5 and before you know when.

Goofs: The cover features 3-D Man, who obviously isn't in the issue. Of course, it also features a Gun-Mouthed Skrull Cow who isn't here either, but that's more metaphorical.

Calendar notes: Not much time has passed since last issue, as Riot refers to the fight as "just" having happened.

Recap page.
Pages 1-3: Date night with Riot & Eva. They go to a predominently Skrull restaurant. They're having a good time together, until Riot gets a drink from Ryder, Moonstomp, and Catwalk. She shouts for everyone to flee, right before Ryder shouts the team slogan, "Let's Kill Skrulls, Krew!" Eva doesn't know how Riot could've done this, and she doesn't know either!
Pages 4-5: FB. Earlier that day on Venice Beach. Dice floats in the air thanks to his new way of seeing things. Riot tries, but fails to do anything but extend her legs. Moonstomp tries to kill Dice again and fails. Moony points out the people behind KTVA TV, the editor of the Los Angeles Examiner, and the multinational media company Entocom are all Skrulls, controlling the media for Skrulls. Dice sees them as just wanting to live, but Moony sees it as them sticking together to better eat everyone later. On the subject of eating, Riot points out she and Eva are going to eat at a vegan Skrull place tonight. Yes, she says it to Moony, and feels stupid about it in hindsight.
Page 6: Riot finishes her retelling of events, and goes insectoid to try to stop her teammates. Ryder honestly thought Riot sent them an invite to slaughter the place.
Page 7 panels 1-3: Earlier, again, day. Moonstomp informs Ryder & Catwalk of the posh Skrull eatery, which Riot told him about for them to go and kill! Cat & Ryder make a date out of it.
Page 7 panels 4-8 to page 8: Moony admits he embellished Riot's role in this mission. Catwalk discovers what the Skrulls were eating, and is horrified. It's TOFU! With Ryder & Catwalk getting all lovely, and Riot doing the same with Eva, Moonstomp has to remind them these Skrulls are monsters who come from another world, killed thousands in the invasion, and turned the team into monsters like them. He claims there are no good Skrullies, they're just trying to get in good to take them by surprise. Eva claims she's good. Ryder ends the operation to go eat a steak.
Pages 9-12: At HAMMER HQ, the tracking grid of half-breed Skrull survivors loses 429 and counting, as they all go off-grid somehow. They are apparently aware of how they are being tracked, and are losing their markers or something. Marcie informs Viola of this, then tells her the boss wants to see her. Viola goes into Norman Osborn's office, where he's watching Conan O'Brien at the behest of Victoria Hand. During his monologue, he makes a joke about a deadly, merciless new virus that is bent on taking over the world, experts say it's basically a "microscopic Norman Osborn". Norman immediately knows this is a warning from Bill Tomlinson, head of Conan's network, who's part of the "half-cow/half alien garbage". 24 hours ago, Tomlinson called Norm to rein in the Skrull Kill Krew after they ruined his favorite restaurant "last night". He refused, and that's what this joke was about. Viola is confused, so Norman explains it: He knows all about the Cow Skrull Offspring. They're a home-grown, secret Skrull population with no ties to their interplanetary "cousins". They didn't learn of them until after the war began, and thus, to avoid wiping them out, they made a deal. The media is "lousy with them", and as such, the Skrull media spun the invasion the way Norman wanted it, spinning the invasion coverage in a way that downplayed "harsher methods". Real patriots, they were, even making Norm a hero. Of course, in return, they were left alone, and their "rowdy" kids' rodeos and such were given a blind eye. Now, the Skrull Cow Offspring want to come out of the closet and be counted. Which they've been setting up with propaganda, friendly Skrulls in movies & TV, Skrull-human romances on others, softening the public up for something. Be it acceptance or something worse, Norman doesn't care, he just wants Viola to help him get the SKK to put a stop to them, now that these Skrulls are out of his control.
Pages 13-14: That night, Ryder watches Catwalk sleep and ponders his role in life. How they became a team to be free, targeting the Skrulls for making them sick which just happened to coincide with what was good for the planet. He considers Moonstomp might be right and his doubts about their Skrull killing is just Skrull media spinning. He doesn't care, since either side they fight for will just manipulate them against the other, and thus, never free. Why live at all if you must live as a slave? Riot (in bed with Eva) gets a text from Viola. Moonstomp gets one, too, while watching some people beat up a Skrull or something (the art isn't clear). Dice surfs naked with no board. Ryder gets the text last, which seems to answer his doubts for him as dawn approaches.
Pages 15-18: "The next evening". At the "La California" hotel, the vast assemblage of Skrull Cow Offspring in high places meet at a close event. Bill Tomlinson is joined by Norman Osborn and Viola Reichardt. Bill explains native-born Skrull-Americans are a big part of society now, and their help against the invasion was repaid by Norman backing a gang of Skrull killing thugs. These Skrulls want to live in peace and don't want to keep hiding. A group of HAMMER agents bust in, hold the room at gunpoint, and Norman reminds them they're just "flipping Skrulls" and doesn't care. The Skrull Kill Krew arrive (sans Moonstomp), as he wanted, but instead of killing the Skrulls, they kill the HAMMER agents. Ryder won't kill Norman and make him a martyr against Skrulls. He'll be held accountable if any more native-born Skrulls start dying.
Pages 19-20: Later at a Skrull club, the team have a good laugh over their pulling one over on Norman Osborn. Moonstomp arrives, having been tricked to not show up at the event. Ryder says he's blinded by hate, Moony points out they're the ones blinded by the Skrulls who'll take over if they don't stop them. He tries to take a stand for purity, and Ryder blows him away. The Skrulls leave as the SKK hold Moonstomp at bay. Despite being in pieces, he rages about these Skrulls are the worst for changing the story on them, making people think there might be nice, peaceful Skrulls around, and begs them to wake up. He's left alone, screaming, but unheard by his former teammates.
Pages 21-22: As Norman said earlier, comics ("yes, they still make them") are also controlled by the Skrulls. As such, the last two pages show a Skrull Adam Felber dictating to a Skrull Mark Robinson as a Skrull Steve Wacker looks on. Either this entire series was just a comic made by Skrulls (and I wasted my time), or it's a metaphor for the fact the Skrulls are indeed running everything, right down to making the Skrull Kill Krew change into a pro-Skrull team. Moonstomp, in other words, is right.
Anyway, daytime. The Skrull Kill Krew ride their motorcycles, aware HAMMER will hit back at them, but promising to hit back harder. Eva & Heidi make cheap double-entandre references. Catwalk wonders how they could've been so wrong about things. Dice notes they weren't and were, as reality shifted beneath their feet, the Skrulls having figured out if you can't change minds, change the whole narrative. Ryder's happy they don't have to change their name. They drive through the countryside, and hey, look! That cow is a Skrull! It all comes full circle.

------------------------------------

God, that was a dumb ending. So Dice is okay with killing now that they aren't killing Skrulls? Now they're just a bunch of Skrulls who kill humans, which makes them just another group of Skrulls, doesn't it? What're they going around protecting native-born Skrulls by force? Don't get me started on the fact Catwalk is so devoid of a personality she's smiling about killing Skrulls early in the issue, absolutely no qualms with it until Ryder says otherwise after thinking about things vaguely for five minutes.

Sorry, had to vent. Liked it until then, though.

One could say Norman rising to power, using the media, which the whole Dark Reign is pinned on, is all due to his deal with the Skrull Cow Offspring. That's kind of neat, and will never be mentioned anywhere ever again.

Much appreciated, JLH.

Questions:
When does the day change happen in SKK2 1 (22-23:6)-FB?
How much time elapses between issues of this mini?

And hey, is issue #1 saying that Hector is supposed to be one of the three cow Skrulls from FF 2 who appear next in A 92? You note that Hector dies in SKK2 1, though.

22 panel 1 has a cow being led away, "It's time, girl", as Skrull Cow Offspring watches. panel 2 continues that, daytime, it seems. Panel 3, it's night, with the half moon (last half). Skrull Cow alone in the field by the house. Panel 4 is the same shot, now the next morning, she's saying, "Moo?" as if realizing she's the last there. Panel 5 is a close-up of Skrull Cow Offspring going "Rrrrnh..." while we see its glowing green eye. Page 23 panels 1-6 have the little girl of the owner coming home from school, asking for cookies. They head inside the house, as it rains, Skrull Cow watching, then eventually becoming a human.
How much time elapses between issues of this mini?
Well, issue 1 is over one night into the next morning.

Issue 2 could have a gap between it and last issue, but might not. It's a day into late night and into the next morning.

Issue 3 follows directly, the day into that night.

Issue 4 could have a small gap prior, but is more likely the next day. It's another whole day into the night.

Issue 5 could've had a gap between issues, but not too big (or it could be the next night, nothing says one way or the other). It starts at night, shows that day in flashback. Then the next morning (H.A.M.M.E.R. time, which must be Eastern). Then the SKK are shown that night. Then the very next night is the Osborn hotel event. Then the next day has the team riding off together. That's about 4 different days total in this issue.

The cows are hard to distinguish. We don't see Hector die after all, I don't believe (though I seem to remember in SKK1 1 there was a quick scene of the Skrull Cows getting led by gunpoint into Bovine University, so it makes you wonder when they had time to mate with any others). He had to have come from a different farm than the offspring, since he clearly snuck off to mate. I think, which means there's actually two different owners featured. A year passes, the offspring's already born, so Hector must've died in that time, but we don't see it (I'd confused the deaths of the other cows).
