New York September 1940 at night
1-5:2 The radio says a refugee ship bound for Canada was torpedoed by a U-boat killing 293 persons including 83 children, followed by an interview of Admiral Higgins by Mr Marlow.
(the only sinking this evokes is that of the SS City of Benares which occurred late in the evening of Sep 17)
Sub-Mariner diverts a torpedo fired at a British vessel.
5:2-7:3 Betty Dean reproaches him not to destroy the U-boat. Namor gets angry.
7:4-21:1 He goes to a German bar upriver where he is picked up by Ursula, a female agent, who convinces him to join the master race and has him board the U-boat.
He sinks it.
21:2-23 The sun dawns. He goes back to Betty Dean to tell her he sank the U-boat.

flashback pg 10 pn 4: Sub-Mariner battles the Human Torch in the shadow of the Empire State Building

1-2 Tha-Korr warns Sub-Mariner that Hitler will drive the whole world to war. He sends Namor to a South Seas island where they fire missiles at the coral.
3 Pilot Jenny Keaton crashes on General Grebling's little island where they conduct their missile research.
4-5 "Not long thereafter" Namor arrives and attacks. The Germans capture Namor.
6-10:1 "Hours later" Keaton never knew the Sub-Mariner really existed in spite of the stories she heard. The German general invites her to have dinner in his chambers. But she frees Namor. Namor wakes up a kraken to have it crush the German submarine and submerge their base.
10:2-3 "The sun is setting" Atlanteans repair Jenny's plane.
10:4 Hitler decides to conduct all missile research from Peenemunde.
10:5 In the sea, Namor ponders on the girl.
