Unknown to all, though, the evidence was manufactured by pro-apartheid South African Colonel Oort, who hopes to capture paranormals and use them against his enemies. Harlan Mook continues to terrorize American military and historic targets. But, when Mook tries to kill Khomeni, the Iranian Ayatollah uses his paranormal power to brainwash Mook into becoming his agent. Lt. Keith Remsen feels responsible for not stopping Mook when he had the chance and vows to capture him. The Pentagon sends the paranormal force, under the command of Major Kathi Blizzard with Captain Jack Magniconte as second in command, to South Africa to take out the supposed destroyer of Pittsburgh.

Oort captures Blizzard and discloses that he set up the whole plan in to use the paranormal force as a cover to launch his captured nuclear missiles. WAR 3
Published: 1989
Written by Doug Murray; Drawn by Tom Morgan (artist)
Appearances: Major Kathi Blizzard; Captain Jack Magniconte; Jeff Walters [Blur]; Gaylord Picaro [Pit Bull]; Garth Mengeling [Gridlock]; Chris Barrett [Metallurgist]; Vincent Sahno [Shooter]; Jacob Lao [Norad]; Jonathan Matthews [Mapper]; Sgt. Brief synopsis: All the nuclear missiles land on their targets, but fail to detonate. The paranormal force returns to the South African base, but Colonel Oort's troops attack them. The Cubans send a naval fleet to South Africa to take out the American force and President Voigt orders the U.S. Air Force to take out the Cubans. The Soviets see this as an opportunity to start World War III. Keith Remsen terrorizes Harlan Mook in his dreams goading Mook to attack him. Remsen shoots and kills Mook before Mook can explode. In outer space, the Star Child feels the impending war and decides to return to earth.
References: Pages 1 through 45 take place immediately after the previous issue. The appearance of the Star Child in this (and next) issue means that this limited series must take place sometime between Star Brand #18 and #19, the latter issue when the Star Child merged into the other versions of Ken Connell and placed that merged version into a never-ending time loop.

WAR 4
Published: 1990
Written by Doug Murray; Drawn by Tom Morgan (artist)
Appearances: Major/Lt. Colonel Kathi Blizzard; Captain/Major Jack Magniconte; Jeff Walters [Blur]; Gaylord Picaro [Pit Bull]; Garth Mengeling [Gridlock]; Chris Barrett [Metallurgist]; Vincent Sahno [Shooter]; Jacob Lao [Norad]; Jonathan Matthews [Mapper]; Sgt. Haldeman; Colonel Kechlusk; Colonel Oort (villain, dies); Philip Nolan Voigt; Casey; Justice [John Tensen] (cameo); Jenny Swensen [Chrome] (cameo); Dave Landers (cameo); Wayne Tucker? (cameo); Johnny Do? (cameo); Stephanie Harrington [Glitter] (cameo); Randy O'Brien (cameo); Captain James T. Kirk (cameo introduction); Jacob Burnley (cameo); the Star Child (voice only); Lt. Keith Remsen; Darlene Magniconte
Brief synopsis: The paranormal force attempts to fight their way through Colonel Oort's forces to get to their plane and escape. During the battle, the anti-apartheid rebels arrive and attack both the paranormals and Oort's troops. Oort captures Kathi Blizzard and threatens to kill her unless the paranormals surrender to him. Jeff Walters stops Oort allowing Casey to kill him and save Blizzard. As the anti-apartheid rebels converge on the paranormals and the Soviets, Cubans and American sit on the brink of World War, the Star Child speaks to the populace of earth. He temporarily disables all the world's weapons (as he previously did with the nuclear missiles) and tells them they have this one chance to step away from the brink of destruction. He tells them to look to paranormals to help bring peace to the world. The paranormal force is able to escape South Africa. Blizzard and Magniconte are promoted and asked to lead a new, permanent paranormal force to preserve the safety of the nation. Keith Remsen has been driven insane by having to kill Harlan Mook and manifests nightmare versions of Mook which constantly torment him.
References: Pages 1 through 40 take place immediately after the previous issue. Pages 41 through 45 take place after the paranormal force has returned to the U.S.
Note: Darlene Magniconte is erroneously called "Doris" and has white hair. The appearance of the Star Child in this (and the previous) issue means that this limited series must take place sometime between Star Brand #18 and #19, the latter issue when the Star Child merged into the other versions of Ken Connell and placed that merged version into a never-ending time loop.
