He planned to annex Trania into Latveria so he could gain access to Mount Wundagore. Svarog arrives and helps Iron Man defeat Doom’s Iron Men. Defeated, Doom begins to plan a new attack: Venom Symbiote satellites. Later, Iron Man arrests one of his janitors for stealing his designs and selling them to Transia. Later, Tony gets Pepper out of jail.

NOTE:
Iron Man is not publicly known as Tony Stark, so this has to happen before IM3 55/2, where he reveals his secret identity. This is before Radioactive Man joins the Thunderbolts, so that works out fine.

Re: Iron Man Legacy #1-5

Post by Michael »

Is that Doom or Kristoff at the end of Iron Man:Legacy 5? In issue 4 of the 2010 Spider-Man/Fantastic Four series, we learn that it was Kristoff, not Doom, who triggered the Venom symbiote attack. Kristoff sold Doom the Venom symbiotes through an intermediary, Doom had them installed and then Kristoff triggered the attack.

Well, it's obviously intended to be Doom in Legacy #5.

My reading of it is, after the events of IM: Legacy #1-5, Doom is now going to start working on an idea he has about Venom symbiotes involving satellites and work it into a plan (or however you want to parse it). The actual mechanics of it haven't been worked out yet, as of IM: Legacy #5. And then, the actual obtaining of symbiotes and stuff happens later. That way, Kristoff's involvement (as revealed in SM/FF, as you pointed out) is still valid.

And besides, there has to be a bit of time between IM: Legacy #1-5 and Mighty Avengers #7-8. IM: Legacy #1-5 is before Radioactive Man joined the Thunderbolts (before HoM) and Mighty Avengers #7-8 is after Civil War. So it took a while for Doom to put it all into motion, anyway.

Good point, Michael. Thanks! :)
