UNCANNY ORIGINS #13 (September 1997)

Pages 1-2 & 22 are the framing sequence; Daredevil swings over the city, gets distracted by sparring boxers, then makes his way to a ceremony where he gets the “Lawyer of the Year” award. Daredevil, Foggy and Karen appear.

At the time this was published, Karen was a radio talk show host and Matt was working as a lawyer.

Pages 3-21 are flashbacks that basically retell DD 1-FB & DD 1. Here’s how it shakes out:

We’re also missing DD 226-FB (Stick trains Matt) in Daredevil’s chronology. According to Stick’s chronology, Stick trained Matt before he trained Elektra. Also, Stick trained Elektra after she broke up with Matt.

ELEK -1 overlaps with DD 168-FB more than we have listed here.

Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock #1-4 gives a specific order for the DD:F flashbacks in Matt & Jack’s chronologies, so I’ll be suggesting changes to match that order.

The handbooks Give Jack’s full name as Jonathan Murdock, and Matt’s mother, Sister Maggie, as Margaret Grace Murdock. We’re also missing Matt’s “Jack Batlin” alias.

We’re also missing Sister Maggie’s appearance in DD 229.

I do, yes. Sure, the two are very similar, but M/SAGA 1 takes place on the same day the Fantastic Four got their powers while DD 1 (10:3)-FB takes place early in Matt & Foggy's college days. I find it hard to believe that Matt & Foggy completed the majority of their time in law school and opened their law office in one or two years of Marvel time (DD 2 takes place between FF 27-28, so probably closer to two years). Placing M/SAGA near the end of their college days seems much more plausible to me.
