LUNATIK #1 (December, 1995)

FLASHBACKS:
Lunatik evolves over millions of years, eventually killing everything on his planet. One day, a missionary space bus arrives; he kills all of the clown-priests and uses the bus to explore that galaxy (Lunatik’s origin). Lunatik fights Spider-Man and the Defenders (DEF 61).
SYNOPSIS:
Watching Earth TV broadcasts in his house in space, Lunatik catches Dollar Bill’s Defenders documentary and becomes ENRAGED that someone else is calling themselves “Lunatik.” He travels to Earth and finds the other Lunatik in a retirement home (near Mount Rushmore) and kills him. As long as he’s on Earth he decides to stay for a bit and mistakes Avengers Mansion (in New York) for a hotel. The Avengers kick him out and Lunatik assumes they stole his partner Skreet (they didn’t, she’s just hanging out in Giant Man’s room).

NOTE:
Uh oh. We’re missing a chronology for the other Lunatik. That’s probably why this one is listed as the second one. However, this issue reveals this Lunatik has been around for millions of years, so this one should be first, even though he was created second.

An editor’s note says this takes place before the Crossing. Helpful!

LUNATIK #2 (January, 1996)

SYNOPSIS:
Lunatik fights the Avengers until Skreet tells him it’s time to leave. He wants to keep fighting so Skreet blasts him and knocks him out. Later in space, the pair are offered a job by Lady Fynn-Geres.

LUNATIK #3 (February, 1996)

APPEARANCES:
Lunatik, Skreet, Lady Fynn-Geres, Ictus

SYNOPSIS:
Lady Fynn-Geres sends Lunatik and Skreet to the space church that bothered Lunatik back in issue #1. Lady Fynn-Geres is actually hoping that Ictus will kill Lunatik. Lunatik fills out a bunch of paperwork at the church and is attacked by Ictus. Lunatik wins and is elected pope. THE END.

NOTE:
Yeah, that’s pretty much it. This was an odd series.
