WILD THING #1 (April, 1993)

APPEARANCES:
Wild Thing (Nikki Doyle, also in fb), Mr. Lo (black market virtual reality games dealer, also in fb), Louie (Mr. Lo’s enforcer), Det. Trout (Nikki’s police officer supervisor, also in fb), Liddel (young computer expert, works for police), Senoak (a really good gamer)

FLASHBACK:
Unable to pay for more games, virtual reality addict Niiki Doyle is kicked out of an arcade (8:2). Trout offers the imprisoned Nikki Doyle a way to work off her prison time (13:4).
SYNOPSIS:
Nikki Doyle, a virtual reality games addict, works undercover with the police to expose the arcade she used to go to for illegal games. The police arrest the black market dealers and Nikki enters the illegal games as Wild Thing to unhook players from within. As she’s attacked by the game, the police are attacked by other black market dealers.

NOTE:
This book is set in the same universe as Iron Man 2020.

WILD THING #2 (May, 1993)

FLASHBACK:
Senoak continues to play the virtual reality game.
SYNOPSIS:
Nikki battles the game as the police try to fight off the attacking black market dealers. She finds Senoak, who has survived the game where everyone else hasn’t. She hopes he can take her place in working for the police. Meanwhile, SHIELD arrives to battle the black market dealers. Unfortunately, the black market dealers fire a rocket at the arcade the police are in.

WILD THING #3 (June, 1993)

Wild Thing (also in fb), Carlyle (also in fb), Det. Trout, Liddel, Senoak, Lt. Pyke (Trout’s police superior), Gabe Steiner (Nikki’s friend, also in fb)

FLASHBACK:
SHIELD rebuilds Carlyle to be faster, stronger and more efficient (5:3). Carlyle stops the attackers from firing more rockets (6:5). Nikki and Gabe play virtual games together (10:4 - 11:3).
SYNOPSIS:
SHIELD agent Carlyle digs Wild Thing out of the Arcade rubble while SHIELD troops deal with the black market dealers. Later, Niiki’s old friend Gabe Steiner is picked up by the police; they release him after they bug his VR equipment. She’s told to hijack his signal to find out who he works for. When they find out, the police kill Gabe and arrest his boss. Nikki punches her boss’ boss, who then threatens to throw her back in prison.

WILD THING #4 (July, 1993)

FLASHBACK:
SHIELD tests Senoak’s ability to adapt to virtual realities, but he dies (5:1 - 5:3). Nikki is thrown out of the virtual TraskTech computer banks (21:2).
SYNOPSIS:
After SHIELD chastises Nikki’s boss’ boss for threatening to throw her back in prison, Trout and Liddel find Nikki playing virtual reality games. They get her to stop and tell her she has nothing to worry about. Later, they investigate where illegal games come from and discover that TraskTech manufactures them without the safety restraints on purpose and releases them through black market dealers. She’s caught by the virtual TraskTech computer bank’s Sentinel guards. Dorian Trask, the CEO of TraskTech, learns that Nikki broke into their databanks.

WILD THING #5 (August, 1993)

FLASHBACK:
Det. Trout sends Nikki on her next assignment to infiltrate a virtual gang, so she spends a month asking around town about the gangs.
SYNOPSIS:
Wild Thing breaks up a fight between two virtual gangs and befriends Gyle. She reports back to Trout, but when she goes back into the virtual world, she’s attacked by Mysterio.

NOTE:
Gyle is revealed to be a SHIELD agent next issue.

WILD THING #6 (September, 1993)

FLASHBACK:
Liddel teaches Nikki how to use the police department’s equipment.
SYNOPSIS:
Wild Thing defeats Mysterio. Later, Gyle reports to his boos at SHIELD, Janet Richart (the one who kept Wild Thing out of prison). Richart tells Gyle to stay away from Wild Thing, and thins to herself that Wild Thing will soon be hers to control.

WILD THING #7 (October, 1993)

APPEARANCES:
Wild Thing, Det. Trout, Liddel, Dorian Trask, Crane (Nikki’s old friend, now works for Trask)

SYNOPSIS:
Nikki runs into her old friend Crane on the street. They go back to his place so he can show her his new virtual reality system. Once inside, Crane trap Nikki and leave. Dorian Trask arrives in the virtual world and reveals he knows she broke into his company’s systems. Trout and Liddel find Nikki hooked into the virtual game, so Liddel goes in to save her, but he’s quickly defeated by the game. Trout wonders what to do while Trask gloats to himself.

NOTE:
Yep, that’s how it ends. The series was cancelled on apparently fairly short notice, since this was billed as the start of a three-part story. Also, a miniseries “Wild Angels” was announced but never came out, that was supposed to feature Wild Thing and Dark Angel.

It's been published as a blak&white digest trade-paperback in Italy:
