FLASHBACK:
Frank Castle’s family is killed.
SYNOPSIS:
Puisher kills a bunch of criminals and works his way up the chain of command. He prepares to kill a boss, but is surprised to see it’s Captain America in disguise. He’s captured and Nick Fury recruits him into his black ops Avengers team. Nick Fury sets his sights on his next recruitment: Tyrone Cash.

ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 #2 (July, 2010)

FLASHBACK:
Bruce Banner and Prof. Leonard Williams work on the super soldier serum until Williams takes it, Hulks out and leaves. He takes the name Tyrone Cash and becomes a drug kingpin in South America. Three days ago, Nick Fury sends War Machine to recruit Tyrone Cash.
SYNOPSIS:
War Machine recruits Tyrone Cash into the Avengers. Later, Nick Fury tells his team their first assignment: Ghost Rider has been killing rich people and they need to take him down.

ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 #3 (August, 2010)

FLASHBACK:
Ghost Rider kills rich people.
SYNOPSIS:
Punisher says rich people getting killed probably deserved it and tries to leave the Avengers. Black Widow activates an implant in Punisher’s head and shocks him, telling him he can’t leave. The Avengers investigate the most recent killing and decide Ghost Rider must be a mutant. Meanwhile, Satan sits in an airport. The Avengers discover that all the people killed by Ghost Rider all belong to a biker gang from years ago, so they put the remaining members on watch. Ghost Rider arrives and attacks one of the remaining guys.

ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 #4 (August, 2010)

FLASHBACK:
Monica Chang and Nick Fury were married, but she broke it off when she found out that Nick has been sleeping with her mother, sisters and cousins. Johnny Blaze is murdered by a biker gang and his fiancée Roxanne Simpson is raped by them; the gang drinks Johnny’s blood and makes a deal with Satan to be rich and powerful. Johnny makes his own deal with Satan; Roxanne won’t remember Johnny or the attack and Johnny will come back as Ghost Rider to get revenge on his killers.
SYNOPSIS:
Ghost Rider kills the guy and escapes the Avengers, but passes on a message to the Punisher before he leaves. Meanwhile, Satan sits in an airport. Later, Carol Danvers asks Nick Fury why the Ultimates aren’t handling the case; Nick Fury says the vice president asked his team to take care of it. Iron Man runs into his brother. Spider tells Nerd Hulk and Black Widow Ghost Rider’s history. The Avengers prepare to protect the last member of Johnny’s killers: the vice president of the US.

ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 #5 (September, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Blackthorne sells his soul to Satan so he can stop Ghost Rider from killing him. Satan turns Blackthorne into another Ghost Rider. Blackthorns attacks the Avengers (who are protecting him; why would he do that?) and they fight. Ghost Rider arrives and attacks Blackthorne and the Avengers are confused by two Ghost Riders.

ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 #6 (October, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Blaze drags Blackthorne into a church and beats him up. They both revert to humans and Punisher kills Blackthorne. Afterward, Punisher asks Hawkeye for help in getting out of the Avengers. Hawkeye punches Punisher. Meanwhile, Satan shows Johnny that Roxanne is happy, and she’ll stay that way if Johnny keeps sending souls to him. Later, Fury tells Hawkeye that Punisher escaped; when Hawkeye punched Punisher it knocked his implant out. Later, Punisher travels to Russia and kills the boss he was looking for in issue #1.
