ULTIMATE ENEMY #1 (March, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Woman stakes out a ROXXON facility in Jersey until it suddenly explodes. She rescues as many scientists as she can while asking them what they did, but they deny doing anything. Meanwhile, a giant creature grows from the destroyed building. Meanwhile, the Richards' home explodes, killing Reed Richards and his family. In New York, Sue Storm is greeted by the Thing when she enters the Baxter Building. They discuss the breakup of the Fantastic Four, and that Sue and Reed are no longer a couple. Thing tells Sue he loves her, and when she doesn't reply, he leaves. The Baxter Building is suddenly attacked by a giant creature, which smacks Thing into the air. Meanwhile, Nick Fury is attacked by an alien being.

ULTIMATE ENEMY #2 (April, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Man and Human Torch happen by an explosion in New York. When they investigate they find Nick Fury battling an alien being. The alien retreats, leaving Fury to explain why he's still alive to the heroes. Human Torch notices a giant creature attacking the Baxter Building and leaves to help, meeting Thing in mid-air. Teaming up with Invisible Woman, they force the creature to retreat. After surveying the destroyed Baxter Building, they decide to get Reed Richards' help. Spider-Woman returns to her home to see if the ROXXON attack is on the news, but instead sees reports of the similar attack on the Baxter Building. She's attacked by the alien that attacked Fury, but is able to escape. Ben, Sue and Johnny find the Richards' home destroyed where the police tell them the family is dead. Spider-Man arrives to hear the news, and immediately calls his aunt May, warning her to get out of the house. Meanwhile, the alien teleports into May's front yard.

ULTIMATE ENEMY #3 (June, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
At the Triskelion, Carol Danvers oversees SHIELD's response to the recent attacks on the Baxter Building, ROXXON, and seemingly random city corners. She excuses herself to the bathroom, where Nick Fury demands to know why she tried to have him killed. She denies it, and he points out that she let all of these attacks happen on her watch. As May is on the phone with Spider-Man, Iceman notices the alien in the front yard. He ices up and attacks, telling Gwen and May to get as far away as possible. A SHIELD agent enters the women's bathroom to find Fury and Danvers pointing guns at each other, and tells them about a recent attack in Queens. The two order a battalion of Hulkbuster agents to the area. Iceman battles the alien and is able to contain it in ice just as Spider-Man, Thing, Invisible Woman and Human Torch arrive. Iceman tells Spider-Man that May and Gwen are safe as Invisible Woman contains the alien in a force bubble. As SHIELD arrives Thing begins to glow and emit energy from the cracks between his rocky skin.

ULTIMATE ENEMY #4 (July, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
While emitting energy from his damaged body, Thing passes out. Later at a SHIELD containment facility in Pennsylvania, SHIELD begins to interrogate the captured alien. As Nick Fury pummels the alien with a baseball bat, Sue and Johnny visit Thing in his incubation tube in the Triskelion's medical facility. After Johnny leaves, Sue tells the unconscious Thing that she loves him too, she just didn't know how to tell him. He suddenly goes into convulsions and starts emitting energy again. Meanwhile, Hawkeye takes over the interrogation for Fury and quickly gets the alien to scream. In Queens, Spider-Man tells his aunt that the attack was meant for him, and that he'll have to leave for a while to keep her and Gwen safe. He tells them to get a hotel in Jersey and leaves. As he swing through the city, he's followed by Spider-Woman. At the Triskelion, the alien explains he's been sent as a result of society's actions, and that his mission is to clean the slate for a new, clean world. It them vomits out a giant creature that attacks and destroys the SHIELD containment facility. At the Triskelion's medical facility, Thing explodes in energy. He's left as a glowing human shaped figure, no longer covered in rocks.

ULTIMATE MYSTERY #1 (September, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Captain Marvel arrives at Project Pegasus and introduces himself to Wendell Vaughn. Meanwhile, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman put together a plan to see who’s behind the recent attacks on Roxxon and the Baxter Building. Ben Grimm shows Sue and Johnny that even though he looks human now, he still has powers. Rick Jones arrives at Project Pegasus.

NOTE:
It’s revealed in Ultimate Doom that Mr. Fantastic cured Thing.

ULTIMATE MYSTERY #2 (October, 2010)

Spider-Woman (posing as “Dr. Julia Carpenter”) has an interview at Roxxon and gets a job. Meanwhile, something takes control of Captain Marvel, and Captain Marvel attacks Project Pegasus. Spider-Woman tells Spider-Man that she has a job at Roxxon. Rick Jones teleports himself and Captain Marvel to the Baxter Building, and the Fantastic Four fight Captain Marvel.

ULTIMATE MYSTERY #3 (November, 2010)

SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Woman (posing as “Dr. Kulia Carpenter”) starts working at Roxxon and meets her co-workers. The Fantastic Four defeat Captain Mavrel and Rick Jones teleports Invisible Woman and himself to Project Pegasus. The Roxxon Brain Trust figures out quickly that Spider-Woman isn’t really a doctor. Invisible Woman learns that Mr. Fantastic is behind the recent attacks.

ULTIMATE MYSTERY #4 (December, 2010)

Nick Fury, Carol Danvers and the Fantastic Four interrogate Captain Marvel. The Roxxon Brain Trust tricks Spider-Woman into admitting she’s not a doctor. She tries to escape but they easily defeat her. Invisible Woman returns and says Mr. Fantastic isn’t done yet.

NOTE:
Mr. Fantastic’s dad finally gets a first name here! There are a bunch of flashbacks in this issue, but they’re all repeats from previous stories.

ULTIMATE DOOM #1 (February, 2011)

FLASHBACK:
Invisible Woman attacks Mr. Fantastic, but he easily defeats her. Rick Jones attacks Mr. Fantastic and damages his machines. Rick Jones teleports himself and Invisible Woman away and Mr. Fantastic escapes (between Ultimate Enemy #3-4, or technically, during #4).
SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Woman wakes up as a captive of the Roxxon Brain Trust and learns they’re working with Dr. Octopus. Rick Jones says he’ll take the others back to Project Pegasus so they can look around. Doctors try to revive Invisible Woman when her injuries cause her to go into cardiac arrest.

NOTE:
Basically, Mr. Fantastic went crazy because Invisible Woman dumped him.

ULTIMATE DOOM #2 (March, 2011)

Invisible Woman is revived and she figures out how Mr. Fantastic has been attacking them. Meanwhile, D. Octopus plans to experiment on Spider-Woman, to see if he can replicate the process that he used to create her. Spider-Man arrives and rescues her. Suddenly, Roxxon is attacked again. Meanwhile, Invisible Woman looks into Mr. Fantastic’s files and thinks that she can narrow down the search if she can examine Captain Marvel (because Mr. Fantastic took control of him). Suddenly, the Triskelion is attacked again.

ULTIMATE DOOM #3 (April, 2011)

SYNOPSIS:
The heroes regroup and Rick Jones teleports them back to Project Pegasus. Spider-Man and Spider-Woman save who they can at Roxxon, and save Dr. Octopus despite Spider-Woman’s protests. Invisible Woman sends Rock Jones to get an alien sample; he does and brings back Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and Dr. Octopus with him.

ULTIMATE DOOM #4 (May, 2011)

SYNOPSIS:
Along with the Ultimates, the heroes attack Mr. Fantastic in the Negative Zone. Human Torch burns Mr. Fantastic’s face and all of his equipment is destroyed. With Mr. Fantastic defeated everyone returns to Earth. Spider-Woman is hired by SHIELD, and Carol Danvers considers hiring Dr. Octopus. Sue and Ben get engaged. Mr. Fantastic floats around in the Negative Zone.

NOTE:
Thor is here, so these three minis have to happen after Ultimate New Ultimates, where he returns. Wasp is also here, but she died in Ultimatum (which these three minis expressly take place after). Luckily, Red Wasp has been introduced after Ultimatum and before these minis; we’ll just have to figure that she’s wearing the wrong costume for some reason.
