SYNOPSIS:
Norman Osborn hires a new scientists to try to figure out how to reverse-engineer Spider-Man. Sometime later after the plant is closed down, the Prowler steals some stuff. Meanwhile, Miles Morales gets into a charter school. He visits his uncle (secretly the Prowler) to share the news, but is bitten by a genetically enhanced spider. When Miles leaves with his dad he finds himself blending into the scenery like a chameleon.

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #2 (November, 2011)

SYNOPSIS:
Miles runs away from his dad and tells his friend Ganke that he thinks he’s a mutant. Miles’ dad finds him and ass why he ran away, then tells Miles that his uncle (his dad’s brother) is a criminal, and he doesn’t want Miles seeing him. The Human Torch and Iceman pass them by while they chat. That night, Miles figures out he can walk on walls.

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #3 (December, 2011)

SYNOPSIS:
Miles shows Ganke he can walk on walls. They go to Miles’ uncle’s place, but he’s already moved out. On the way home Miles saves some people from a burning building and decides he can’t be a super hero. Miles and Ganke start at their new school and meet their roommate. Soon after, the school has a drill because of a super hero crisis, and the teachers tell the students that Spider-Man’s been shot.

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #4 (January, 2012)

Miles ducks out of school and goes to see what Spider-Man’s doing (new) and watches him die (repeat). He asks Gwen Stacy what Spider-Man’s real name was. Later that night, Miles decides that Spider-Man dying was his fault, because he didn’t become a super hero when he got his powers. At Spider-Man’s funeral (repeat), Miles asks Gwen why Peter became Spider-Man (new). Ganke gets Miles a Spider-Man costume. After battling the Kangaroo, Miles is approached by Spider-Woman.

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #5 (February, 2012)

SYNOPSIS:

He chats with his mom about school and learns he’s becoming famous as the new Spider-Man. Elsewhere, Betty Brant tries to get her old job back at the Daily Bugle. Later, the Prowler (still in jail) learns there’s a new Spider-Man.

ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #7 (April, 2012)

SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Man tests out his new powers to see what he can do until he notices an explosion across town. He leaps over and finds Omega Red. Meanwhile, Prowler figures out that his nephew Miles is the new Spider-Man and kills the Tinkerer. Spider-Man defeats Omega Red and later brags about it to his pal Ganke. They’re approached by Miles’ uncle Aaron.

Quaid talks to the Kangaroo. Elsewhere, the Scorpion begins to take over organized crime in New York. Later, Spider-Man sneaks out of school and gets into a fight with the Ringer. After he beats the Ringer, Capt. Quaid approaches him.

SYNOPSIS:
Miles and Ganke finally figure out that Prowler wants to be the Kingpin of crimes, and he wants Spider-Man to be his enforcer. Spider-Man decides to tell his parents that he’s the new Spider-Man, because the Prowler has been threatening to tell them, blackmailing Spider-Man. Spider-Man skips school and goes home, but his dad isn’t home from work yet. Spider-Man attacks Prowler, and Prowler tries to kill Spider-Man, blowing up a bus full of people in the process. Spider-Man saves the people, but apparently accidentally kills Prowler.
