Meanwhile, Valerie Cooper (Presidential liaison on mutants) answers questions while riots break out across the country in reaction to people learning that man created mutants. Jimmy Hudson, angry about man creating mutants, quits Ultimate X. Quicksilver approaches Nick Fury and the President. Elsewhere, Shroud, Iceman and Human Torch learn that Rogue is being attacked in the street by a Nimrod Sentinel and leave to help her.

Meanwhile, Reverend Stryker (son of Admiral Stryker) kills a mutant sympathizer. In Egypt, something starts to glow in a cave.

Kitty admits to herself she doesn’t want to help because she’s scared to die like Spider-Man did.

With Stryker dead, his control over the Nimrod Sentinels is gone; since the Nimrod Sentinels have Cerebro technology loaded into them, they can now track and hunt every mutant on Earth. The X-Men escape to the Morlock tunnels and get a message from Oracle, telling anyone who wants shelter to go to Xorn and Zorn.

Colossus wakes up and starts murdering the guards until a fleet of Nimrod Sentinels arrive.

NOTE:
All of the dead characters that have appeared recently (like Scarlet Witch, etc.) are actually Nathaniel Essex casting illusions. So that’s answered, at least.

She gets her pals together (except Human Torch, who will stay behind to look after the kids they rescued) and they leave New York to fight for mutant rights.
