ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #19 (January, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Paco Madina

APPEARANCES:
Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Jimmy Hudson, Mach Two, Iceman, Storm, Blackheath (Sam Smithers), Network (Seth Vale), Armor, Warpath, Micromax (Scott Wright), Magma (Amara Aquilla), Psylocke (Betsy Braddock), Shola Inkosi, Zero (Kenji Uedo), Iron Man (bts), Captain America (bts), Nick Fury (bts), Farbird, Karen Grant

SYNOPSIS:
The mutants (since so many mutants took the SEAR virus cure, there’s only about 20 of them left that they know of) are given their reservation, but they quickly find out that the soil is crap and there’s trace elements of radioactivity. They hold a vote and Kitty is elected their leader. They start using the FEMA materials left for them to make buildings and a supply package is dropped off by Tony Stark, under authorization from President Captain America and includes a gun for Kitty from Nick Fury. Mach Two starts a secret rebel group to eventually oppose Kitty. Meanwhile, Karen Grant spies on them.

NOTE:
Zero’s real name is changed from Adam to Kenjiro Uedo here. Nomi Blume is still calling herself Mach Two.

Also, apparently that wasn’t Psylocke’s corpse in ULTIMATUM:XMR, despite her being listed as killed in the editorial page in ULTIMATUM 5.

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #20 (February, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Carlo Barberi

APPEARANCES:
Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Jimmy Hudson, Mach Two, Iceman, Storm, Blackheath, Network, Armor, Warpath, Micromax, Magma, Psylocke, Shola Inkosi, Zero, Iron Man, Sentient Seed

SYNOPSIS:
Nomi steals Kitty’s gun from Nick Fury, but Kitty quickly discovers it’s gone and knows it was Nomi. The mutants build structures and Blackheath and Storm create a new seed that can grow anywhere. Kitty makes a phone call and Tony Stark arrives to give them advice. Kitty doesn’t want to sell the seed, she wants to give it away to feed starving nations. That night, Nomi threatens to kill Kitty.

NOTE:
Tony Stark’s called Iron Man here, but he’s using the Iron Patriot armor.

The Sentient Seed is sentient, so even though it’s basically a seed that grows into a jungle, it’s still a character (it reacts to things and communicates with Rogue).

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #21 (March, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Carlo Barberi

APPEARANCES:
Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Jimmy Hudson, Mach Two, Iceman, Storm, Blackheath, Network, Armor, Warpath, Micromax, Magma, Psylocke, Shola Inkosi, Zero, Iron Man, Carol Danvers, Karen Grant, Firestar, Guardian, Black Box, Sentient Seed

SYNOPSIS:
Kitty Pryde holds a press conference to unveil the mutants’ new seed. The world reacts, mostly negatively, because the thought is farmers will be put out of business. Corporations send mercenaries to attack Utopia but Iron Man fights them off. Iron Man warns Kitty there will likely be more attacks.

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #22 (April, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Carlo Barberi

APPEARANCES:
Iron Man, Husk, Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Jimmy Hudson, Mach Two, Iceman, Storm, Blackheath, Network, Armor, Warpath, Micromax, Magma, Psylocke, Shola Inkosi, Zero, Farbird, Sentient Seed

SYNOPSIS:
Husk shows up at the reservation and claims she was brainwashed. Kitty reluctantly lets her stay at the reservation. A US fighter jet attacks Utopia and Iron Man captures the pilot. The mutants let the pilot go as a gesture of good faith. Kitty holds a meeting to let everyone know they need to work together because humans keep attacking them, then their greenhouse explodes. Mach Two and some others move out and make their own camp. With the world thinking the seed is gone (even though it’s really not), Iron Man tells Kitty that the explosion will stop some people form talking, but there will still likely be more attacks.

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #23 (April, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Carlo Barberi

Storm wanders around and gets picked up by some bigots and placed into another camp. She meets Blackheath in the camp. When they hear word of Kitty Pryde fighting the Sentinels they break free and join the fight. Later, Storm checks to see if Colossus took the SEAR virus cure and is happy that he didn’t. She prepares to go to the mutant reservation.

Jimmy Hudson was born with the Mothervine system in his blood, because their mother Magda injected it while she was pregnant with Jimmy. Quicksilver wants to use Jimmy’s blood to restart the mutant race. When Jimmy refuses to play along, Quicksilver defeats and imprisons Jimmy.

ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #28 (August, 2013)
By Brian Wood & Mahmud Asrar

APPEARANCES:
Rogue, Psylocke imposter, Jean Grey, Farbird, Gen. Ross, Magma, Wolverine II, Shola Inkosi, Kitty Pryde, Mach Two, Iceman, Husk, Warpath, Zero, Storm, Armor, Blackheath, , Sentient Seed , Phoenix Force?

SYNOPSIS:
The Psylocke imposter reveals she was psychically influencing everyone to act rashly and impulsively. With Psylocke out of the way everyone calms down. Gen. Ross tells Kitty he’s not going to take Utopia away and fight Congress. Kitty confronts Jean Grey and tells her Utopia will never join Xorn and Zorn.

NOTE:
I’m not sure how the Phoenix works in the Ultimate universe; I haven’t read those issues of Ultimate X-Men. If the Phoenix Force is a separate character, it appears here. If the firebird effect is just a side-effect of Jean Grey’s powers, then I guess we don’t have to worry about it.

By Brian Wood & Alvaro Martinez

APPEARANCES:
Wolverine II, Kitty Pryde, Blackheath, Colossus, Aleks, Iron Man (bts), Iceman, Husk, Rogue, Mach Two, Farbird, Jean Grey, Firestar, Guardian, Sentient Seed

SYNOPSIS:
Since Kitty Pryde wants a peaceful mutant nation, Wolverine leaves (since he’s built for violence). The Supreme Court found the original reservation deal legal, so there’s no more military threat to Utopia. A lawsuit granted the mutants more land, so they’ve expanded. Tony Stark distributes free food to hungry nations on behalf of Utopia. Jean Grey attacks Utopia despite Firestar and Guardian’s protests. Meanwhile, Wolverine arrives in Tian to work for Jean Grey.

NOTE:
Captain America is noted as the ex-President here.

SYNOPSIS:
Kitty Pryde responds to Jean Grey’s attack by having Storm hit Tian with a typhoon, then a blizzard. Jean Grey demands to know if Wolveirne is loyal to her or Kitty. Colossus is publicly promoted to leader of Utopia. Since Jean can’t attack a new leader of Utopia without reason, she frames Wolverine as a terrorist so she can claim Colossus attacked her first (because he chose Kitty instead of her).

APPEARANCES:
Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Wolverine II, Jean Grey, Guardian, Firestar, Thorkels, Storm, Farbird, Pixie (Megan), Armor, Sentient Seed

SYNOPSIS:

No charges are filed against Kitty for attacking another nation, and the SEAR are happy to see Tian gone.

NOTE:
And that’s it! To be continued in Cataclysm, where Earth-616 Galactus eats the Ultimate universe, or something.
