AVENGERS/INVADERS #4 (OF 12)
CABLE #6 with a MONKEY variant!
SECRET INVASION: FRONT LINE #2 (OF 5)
WOLVERINE: KILLING MADE SIMPLE

2 maybes:
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN FAMILY #1

i pick up ASM but i wanna see how i feel about these. i'd never really read any Spider-Man comics before BND and i wanna see if these are just random Spidey stories or if they are obviously sent in the BND "universe".

I read one, maybe two issues of the last volume of NYX and didn't care, so I'll be passing on this one. Venom I'm not excited about, but I'll be getting it anyway.

I like the art, and sometimes that's enough for me. :)

Not a bad policy. I'm glad to see you're still enjoying Amazing, by the way.

I'll be getting 5 for sure, maybe 6 or 7...The "King Size Spidey" and Wolverine one-shots are optional, at this point.

Likewise for me. The artwork is what turned me off.
SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE SEASON 2 #1 (OF 5)
Not getting this, but I thought it was another ongoing series?!?

I haven't made it into the shop yet either, but I'll let you know what I thought of them.

I will say that I really enjoyed last week's Amazing Spider-Man: Extra! though, and that it really felt like extra bits from the current Amazing Spider-Man. Good stuff!

As it turns out, KING-SIZE SPIDER-MAN SUMMER SPECIAL has nothing to do with anything as it's filled with stories that 'never happened'. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN FAMILY #1 DOES have a story set in the new status quo, but it's an Aunt May piece. There's a set-in-the-past piece, and then Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man, and a reprint.

I don't know if that's the best start to the relaunch... maybe next issue will have more ties to the current books? As in, two current stories instead of one? I dunno.

i thought it was one new Spidey story, one Spider-Girl, one Aunt May, one reprint. in that order. though i haven't purchased the book so i can't confirm this (it's sitting in my box at the shop, i'm low on funds, atm) i'm pretty sure that's what's in the book. if i'm wrong, well, then i'll just feel like a jackass and accept it. it had Brand New Day on the cover.

No, you have the contents right:

one new Spidey story = a set-in-the-past piece
one Spider-Girl = Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man
one Aunt May = new status quo, but it's an Aunt May piece
one reprint = and a reprint

I don't remember the order... but that sounds right. I'm upstairs and the book's in the basement. And I read through it pretty fast. :)
