Development of the search feature

Post by jimmyppi »

I have decided to put some time on the search feature. There are two improvements I have in mind:

1. A "previous" entry to go along with "next" entry and the entries will get clickable, as suggested in viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3952
2. Auto completion when writing a figure name or comic in the search text fields.

Are there more ideas for improvements out there?

One future development I have been thinking of is to connect the Marvel Calender to the search results.

Ok, the new search is live!

What do you think? I'm open for suggestions for improvements.

Does the functionality descriptions make sense? Is the grammar/spelling correct?

The auto completion only works in firefox for now. If there are any "javascript for IE hackers" that want to try to fix it for internet explorer I would appreciate the help..

This is...impressive.
I can't promise you that things will improve, if we make changes;
I can promise you that they won't improve, if we don't.

I would use "characters" instead of "figures" - the latter is technically accurate, but doesn't immediately parse as referring to characters.

Otherwise, looks good. Thanks for getting rid of the XSS in the links :)

Thanks for the feedback!

I've changed "figures" to "characters".
