A flashback in NEW AVENGERS #47 shows a nice domestic scene featuring Cage, Jessica Jones, and their baby. This flashback occurs "weeks" before SECRET INVASION and must occur before Jessica and the baby moved into Avengers Tower in NEW AVENGERS ANNUAL #2.
Within this flashback is another flashback to a time Cage hired Jessica (Alias Investigative Services) to find his father. "It's been a while" since Cage and Jessica last saw each other. jessica remarks that he remembers her name, and Cage replies, "Told you I wasn't ever going to forget it." During this flashback, Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Spidey team up to fight the Yakuza. Does anyone know where this FB-FB should be placed?

Thanks, JD. Yup, panel by panel repetition for that scene with DD and company. But, I was under the impression the FB-FB was at an earlier point in Cage's and Jessica's lives, unless there was a great deal of facetitiousness in the dialog. Heck, in DD2 59 they just moved in together and tell Matt thery're having a baby.

I think there is supposed to be a time gap within that FB between when they bump into each other on the street and when Jessica finally tracks down Luke's dad. I would put the first scenes (on the street and Cage asking for help) before their infamous get together in Alias 1. The Yakuza scene goes w/ DD2 59 and the scenes where they find his dad go some time after that (probably any time before he proposes in Pulse 13).Paul Bourcier wrote:Thanks, JD. Unless there's another theory out there, I'll plug these FB-FB segments in where you suggest. Thanks, cweed4.
I thought of a gap where you suggest, then I thought it was very odd that the whole assignment to find Cage's dad never came up in all the time from prior to ALIAS #1 to DAREDEVIL Vol. 2 #59. Sure, I suppose it was a constant topic of discussion BTS throughout that time, but...ah, this is Bendis.I think there is supposed to be a time gap within that FB between when they bump into each other on the street and when Jessica finally tracks down Luke's dad. Well, it is a retcon, so I don't think you can expect the topic to have been discussed on panel previously. It would have been better chronologically to have this story fit in before the epilogue to Alias 28 but it can't because of the notes you mentioned from DD2 59.Paul Bourcier wrote:I thought of a gap where you suggest, then I thought it was very odd that the whole assignment to find Cage's dad never came up in all the time from prior to ALIAS #1 to DAREDEVIL Vol. 2 #59. Anyway, I thought this story was a nice addition to the history of their relationship. Plus, having Gaydos draw Jessica again made me miss the Alias series.
