Somebody once pointed out that in a 1990's Wolverine story, omniscient third person (as opposed to first person narration as one would find a Shang-Chi story) stated that he (Wolverine) received the name Logan at birth. Well, we know that it did not work that way now due to Origin.
More disconcerting-how many times has the Watcher's recap of Earth-616's history in What If prologues ended up contradicted by later retcons? Anyone know of any pertinent examples. I feel sure Uatu stated that Bucky died in What If I#5's prologue.

Trying to get him off an a technicality is it possible that in whatever what if issue that was, in that AU he WAS called Logan since birth.
Better theory, perhaps he was always called Logan by Thomas Logan (his real father) in own thoughts or
in private by Thomas, or conversations between Thomas and Elizibeth Hudson.
I think we should give poor Uatu the benefit of the doubt, he is your mascot after all. And that was a nasty punch Rulk gave him wasnt it.
