Both Millie the Model and Patsy Walker both started out pretty much the same way, as 40s-era humor/romance comics that ran for many a year. To my knowledge, neither one of them had officially interacted with the Marvel Universe (save perhaps Millie briefly appearing as the Blonde Phantom in Millie the Model #2 in 1946) until officially introduced as canon in FF Annual #3.
With Patsy Walker, it was eventually established that most if not all of her childhood adventures were works of comic book fiction written by her mother and were not canon, and she eventually became joined the Defenders as Hellcat (similar to how the original Two-Gun Kid, Clay Harder, was retconned to being a dime novel character in Two-Gun Kid #60).
It would seem, however, that Millie the Model's childhood adventures did occur in the MU, and that now, as an older woman, she owns Millie's Models, a successfful modelling firm. For anyone more in the know, did Millie's early comic appearances occur during her original run (ie. was she active in the MU in the 1940s), or has her career been retconned so that these stories occurred in more recent years, perhaps starting only a few years FF #1?
In FF Annual #3, she appears in her traditional youthful form, but in her later appearance in Sensational She-Hulk #60 she appears elderly, but again appears youthful in Models Inc. Is Models Inc even canon?

Re: Status of Millie the Model
Millie Collins has not been portrayed as elderly anywhere except for Sensational She-Hulk #60. In such comics as DEF 65 (the comic that introduced her new status quo as modeling agency owner) and DAZZ 34, she is no older than her early thirties (at the most). It would seem that Sensational She-Hulk #60 is an anomaly.wolframbane wrote:In FF Annual #3, [Millie the Model] appears in her traditional youthful form, but in her later appearance in Sensational She-Hulk #60 she appears elderly, but again appears youthful in Models Inc. Models Inc has a few head scratching moments -- mainly that Millie is back to active modeling, and Hedy Wolfe in now a fashion blogger instead of the businesswoman running Patsy Walker Inc -- but enough time has passed since the characters last appeared that those job changes could be explained, if anyone cares to do so... So I believe it is canon.

Actually, I believe it was Avengers Annual 2000 went on to further retcon that Patsy Walker (along with most of the people in her town) was a tv child star and that the comics were adaptations of the tv episodes she starred in.wolframbane wrote:With Patsy Walker, it was eventually established that most if not all of her childhood adventures were works of comic book fiction written by her mother and were not canon, and she eventually became joined the Defenders as Hellcat (similar to how the original Two-Gun Kid, Clay Harder, was retconned to being a dime novel character in Two-Gun Kid #60).
