Brief synopsis: Maddie Felix gives birth to her and Connell's son, but dies in the process. The baby is born with a portion of the power of the Star Brand, quickly grows older and becomes known as "the Star Child".
Attempting to leave the Pitt, Jane and Roger Price are quarantined by the military.

Flashback (4:5-7:6)
Appearances: Maddie Felix; Ken Connell; Myron Feldman (as ghost)
Brief synopsis: The Witness raises the spirit of Ken Connell's friend Myron Feldman to torment Connell. Feldman promises to serve as Connell's conscience. Ken visits Maddie and apologizes to her for not accepting their baby. He begs her to keep their child safe.

First Story

Appearances: the Star Child; Ken Connell; Jane Price; Roger Price
Brief synopsis: The Star Child visits Jane and Roger Price for more answers and kills Roger in an act of self-defense although Roger proved no danger. He confronts his father, Ken Connell, who has become mad with power. The Star Child, knowing Connell is a danger, removes the Star Brand from him, a process that will damage Connell's mind. The Star Child brings Roger Price back to life with a physically perfect body.

Flashback (11:1-11:4)
Appearances: the Star Child
Brief synopsis: The Star Child kills a group of looters and a squadron of Air Force jets who each attack him.
References: Takes place right after the Star Child is born during the previous issue.

Second Story

Appearances: the Robinsons [Marge; Leonard; Janey; Timmy] (merge into a single creature); Major McInery (introduction); Captain Lancaster (introduction, dies)
Brief synopsis: The Robinson family are being treated in a military hospital for strange skin rashes that appeared after being rescued from the Pitt by Spitfire. The family ultimately merges into a single creature that wants to kill to ease its constant hunger.
