The Siberian Project
PF 27
Published: January 1989

First story
Written by Fabian Nicieza; Drawn by Alan Kupperberg (penciler) & Chris Ivy (inker)
Appearances: Wayne Tucker; Thomas Boyd; Kathy Ling; Lindsey Falmon; Johnny [Dehman Doosha] (joins, first as Johnny); Crasniye Solleetsi/"Red Sun" [Shivowtnoeh; Sillatochca; Coojeechiscue [Nadehzda]]; Siberian Project [Anya Zotov; Gennadi Shepalev; Serge Vladimiroff; Petrov Szymanski (introduction)] (villains)
Brief synopsis: After the battle with Psi-Hawk, the teens have been brought to the Siberian Project by Rodstvow. Boyd encounters Dehman Doosha, an autistic paranormal child at the Siberian Project. When Boyd learns that the staff are going to give the child a lobotomy, he takes over the central computer room and threatens to destroy all of their files unless the child is released to his custody. They agree and Boyd names the child “Johnny Do". Although Wayne remains in a coma, his mind has been sending out constant messages to the Medusa Web asking for their help.
References: As noted on the inside cover, the issue takes place on or soon after September 4, 1988.
Notes: As noted on the inside cover, after the battle with Psi-Hawk, Rodstvow brought the four members of Psi-Force back to the Siberian Project with him.
- Johnny Do effectively joins the group.

Second story
Written by Fabian Nicieza; Drawn by Christopher Ivy (artist)
Appearances: Pvt. Tyrone Jessup; Pit Bull; Bazooka; Pvt. Garth Mengeling; Pvt. Chris Barrett; Pvt. Jeff Walters; Sgt. Haldeman; Lt. Zentner; Psi-Hawk (flashback); Andrew Chaser (flashback)
Brief synopsis: At Fort Benning, Tyrone is stuck in a wheelchair and powerless. Major Zentner claims otherwise as he can identify Jessup as a paranormal by smell. Sgt. Haldeman enters Tyrone's mind to see his fears and the experience shocks Jessup into releasing his astral form as a blast of energy at the two soldiers. Tyrone is afraid of his now-uncontrollable energy powers.
References: As noted on page 4:1, Jessup has been at Ft. Benning for "a week".
Note: It is likely that the reference to Zentner as a lieutenant rather than a major is an error.
