I own DD #196 and 199, but not #197-198. Do either of those issues have a flashback that shows Lord Dark Wind's failed Kamikaze attempt on an American aircraft carrier in WWII?
I know that he mentions it in DD #199, and Lady Deathstrike flashes back to it in Alpha Flight #34 -- but I'm trying to figure out if we've ever seen it on-panel before that Alpha issue.
Thanks!

Thanks! Can you detail out the events of the FB? Is it just the moment of the crash, or anything before/after? Do we see Dark Wind's face? His silhouette? Just his plane? Do we see any US soldiers on the aircraft carrier?

Re: Lord Dark Wind in DD #197-198
I don't have the comic book available right now anymore, the joy of having his collection split in two places. Out of memory, it's just a view from a distance of an US aircraft carrier, with Dark Wind's plane crashing on it but not exploding. No soldiers are seen

Thanks. Can anyone who has the comic available please confirm this?

As Yuriko speaks, the panel behind her shows a plane crashing into another plane on the deck of an aircraft carier. She explains how Darkwind survived and the bombs he was carring did not go off during a kamikazi attack. Though I count (20:5). You don't see Darkwind, just silhouetted planes.

I counted (20:5) for Yuriko speaking in the present and (20:6) for the FB in the past

Its the same panel. I think deciphering a panel your way could lead to confusion, but thats just me.
