SCAN REQUEST: lotsa Jim Lee stuff for the X-Men v2 Omnibus!

Post by JephYork »

I'm working on putting together the bonus section for the X-Men by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus vol. 2 HC. I currently have a whopping 97 pages of bonuses slated for this book ... trouble is, we need scans for about 26 of them.

I've got my fingers crossed that you guys can help out. Does anyone own some, all, or even one of the items listed below? If so, could you provide me with scans? In return, your name will grace the Special Thanks section of this mighty tome.

(The usual scan specs apply: I need 600 dpi .tif scans, uncompressed, with some "white space" around all four sides of the image.)

Here's what I need. Click the links for pix!

NOTHIN'
GOT IT ALL
NOTHING TO SEE HERE

That's what I need! I've got my fingers crossed that you guys can help locate and scan all of it, and make this Omnibus the best it possibly can be. Thanks in advance!

(Please reply here, or e-mail me at jephyork@yahoo.com. Please do *not* PM me -- my inbox is almost full. Thanks!)

Edited to delete some of the scans I've already received.

According to someone, the full-page X-Men ad may have run as the back cover or inside-back cover of Wizard #1. Does anyone have that issue to check?

Edited again, to delete more items that I've been able to get. And I've got a copy of the Jim Lee Millennium HC on the way, so those are probably covered soon too.

But I could *really* use some help tracking down the last few items. Especially the industry magazines -- does ANYONE own Advance Comics #32, Comics Interview #98, or Speakeasy #119?

Hmm, one more thing to add to the list: I need the introduction page of the X-Men Visionaries: Jim Lee TPB.

I don't necessarily need a scan -- a digital photograph would be enough, this time around. I just need it to be in-focus and legible. Can anyone help?

Hmm. Ya know, I can find one place online selling Comics Interview 98, but the other two are completely absent. Starting to look like they may be a little too rare...

Doug Sulipa's site. I've used it for a lot of more esoteric comics in the past, he's good people (though he's in Canada, so the shipping might not be that quick): http://www.dougcomicworld.com/ (it's in the Comic Magazines section).

Thanks, cool link! However, in a case of weird serendipity, I got the Comics Interview #98 scans just today from a fan!

And an acquantance of mine was able to use Photoshop to trick out another fan's jpegs scans of Speakeasy #119 into something resembling tifs. (Though I'd like a better source image if possible!)

Which means I've only got ONE SCAN LEFT TO FIND. Advance Comics #32, are you out there?
