SYNOPSIS:
Spider-Man swings around until he stumbles across Mysterio’s lair. Mysterio attacks Spider-Man, and he falls into a portal Mysterio has lying around. Spider-Man swings around and is shocked to hear from someone that he died. Soon after, Spider-Man runs into Ultimate Spider-Man.
SPIDER-MEN #2 (August, 2012)

SYNOPSIS:
Mysterio wakes up and figures out that Spider-Man went through his portal. He activates one of his robot avatars and sends him into the Ultimate Universe, not wanting Spider-Man to be in the universe he discovered. Meanwhile, the two Spider-Men don’t believe each other so they fight. Ultimate Spider-Man gets lucky and knocks regular Spider-Man out. Peter wakes up in a cell and is interviewed by Nick Fury. Fury believes that Peter is from an alternate universe, and tells Miles to show Peter what happened in the Ultimate Universe to Spider-Man. As the Spider-Men leave, they’re attacked by Mysterio.
NOTE:
This issue reveals that Ultimate Mysterio is actually the main Marvel Universe Mysterio.

The Spider-Men fight and defeat Mysterio, but he escapes. The Ultimates arrive but Spider-Man (616) swings away. He quickly learns that his counterpart died in this universe and goes to meet his aunt.

Peter Parker catches up with the alternate versions of his family, but Mary Jane freaks out when she sees him. The Spider-Men return to the Ultimates and figure where Mysterio is hiding.

SYNOPSIS:
The Spider-Men easily defeat Mysterio, but he wiggles away and gets back to Eath-616. Ultimate Spider-Man follows him and bring Mysterio back to the Ultimate Universe. The Ultimates arrest Mysterio and Peter goes back to his universe. Curious, he does a google search to see if there’s a Miles Morales in his universe. He’s shocked by what he finds.
NOTE:
Nope, we don’t know what Peter finds out. I guess we’ll never know!
This mini was published at the same time as Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #11-14. Since Ultimate Spider-Man has already met Aunt May and Gwen in this mini, this has to happen after ULTCSM 12, which continues into the Divided We Fall crossover. Also, this mini should happen before Ultimate Spider-Man’s mom is killed, so we’re looking at between ULTCSM 18 & 16.1 (18 ends the crossover, and 16.1 leads into 19, which ends with his mom dying).
For the Earth-616 characters, this has to happen after the End of the Earth story, so after ASM 687 (Mysterio appear there; he’s imprisoned in the Ultimate Universe here). Also, this has to happen before Spider-Man is killed by Dr. Octopus, so before ASM 695. This mini was published at the same time as ASM 687-693.
