Hello all!
Lately, I have been collecting the Marvel horror magazines of the 1970's. The Haunt of Horror magazine ran for only five issues, from May 1974 to January 1975. Currently only HOH 2 is reflected in the chronologies of Satana, Gabriel Rosetti, Desadia and Satan.
However, HOH 3, 4 and 5 all feature Gabriel Rosetti and Desadia and HOH 4 and 5 feature Satana. Satana's father Satan also appears disguised as the human Miles Gorney in the Satana stories until he finally reveals himself in HOH 5.
Just curious if there was a reason for the omission of these three issues. Thanks!

Looks like they were just missed. Added to the checklist!
Any chance you could analyze the three magazines so we could add them to the MCP?

Don't forget the first volume of Haunt of Horror, which only ran for two issues, as well.

Well, look at that!
Volume 1 came out in 1973 and had work by Walt Simonson, Frank Brunner, Mike Ploog, Gerry Conway, Denny O'Neil, Harlan Ellison and a bunch of others that I'm not bothering to mention!
I just added something new to my search list. Thanks!

This was a pulp magazine of text horror stories. Don't see it making it's way in here, but nonetheless, the black-and-white magazine should properly be named Vol. 2.vanhornluke wrote:Don't forget the first volume of Haunt of Horror, which only ran for two issues, as well.

I don't see any good reason to exclude the stories in the first volume, particularly if they are consistent with 616 continuity. After all, we already know that the Martin Goodman pulps (probably with the exceptions of the sci-fi stories set in the future and the porno mags) are 616, and there are plenty of other text stories that are 616 as well (e.g., Night Raven, 40s text stories with golden age heroes, novels, short stories).

Just analyzed HOH 3, Col Fury. If I did it correctly, I will complete the other two issues later this week. Thanks!
