Professor X in X 130

Post by intp »

I don't mean to nitpick, but I came across what appears to be a (very) minor error in Professor X's chronology. I was reviewing his history prior to Secret Wars II (just as a refresher) and see that he left to outer space with Lilanda in X 117, decided to return to Earth in X 125, and actually meets up with the X-Men again in X 129 (all of which is accurately reflected in the Project).

His subsequent chronology is listed as follows:

PROFESSOR X/CHARLES FRANCIS XAVIER

...

X 125
X 129 (1 - 6)
X:L 211 (17 - 18)-FB
SSOLS 7-FB
X:L 213 (7)-FB
X 129 (7 - 12:4)
X 130-FB
X 129 (12:5 - 17)
XO:EFROST
X 130
X 131

...

I have not read the non- "Uncanny X-Men" stories in this segment, so perhaps there's something in XO:EFROST that accounts for this, or maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't see Xavier in X 130, except in a brief flashback where he meets Kitty Pryde and her parents (which is accurately reflected in the notation of X-130-FB between panels 4-5 of pg. 12 of X 129).

As far as I can see, Xavier's next appearance (after the end of X 129) is in X 131 near the end, where he makes the odd comment, "I knew I was right in holding back and playing observer!" Odd, because I didn't see him at all earlier in the issue, so where was he supposed to be?

Anyway, should the X 130 entry between XO:EFROST and X 131 be omitted?

Xavier's strapped to a table "under electro-sleep sedation" in X 130, while the X-Men are caged.

Thanks for the clarification! I should have read it more carefully.
