The Uncanny X-Men story takes place around the X-Mas in UX 143.
1-2 putting decorations

4 fighting Arcade
5 fighting Dr. Doom who tried to wed Ororo

7 Dazzler & X-Men vs Hellfire Club
8 vs Garokk & Sauron in Savage Land

This story is a medley of 1980-81 storylines: Blue Area (137), Sentinels (141-142), N'garai demon (143), Arcade and Doom (145-147), Dazzler (148), Garokk (149), Sauron (Fanfare 3-4), Hellfire Club & Sentinels (151-152) where all these events are supposed to happen on a daily basis during Hanukkah. With UX 153, Jan '82, being the fairy tale Kitty tells Illyana, my easiest path is to consider the whole tale or the Hanukkah adventures to be fanciful, another fictional tale.
I was prepared to insert those scenes, except I could not get a Doom trying to wed Ororo both before and after UX 143.
The Angel/Dazzler subplot hinted at in this story continues in DAZZ 17-24, which further argues for extending this story to 1982. So I keep the first and last pages only.
I don't know if my approach will win anyone and I welcome any and all attempts to organise those scenes around UX 143.

Re: Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish Uncanny X-Men
There's other problems with trying to insert these scenes. For example. the scene with the Hellfire Club and Dazzler features Emma Frost but Storm thought Emma was dead between X-Men 129 and 151. And Garokk seems to be his normal self in this story but he was a half-diamond giant thingie during this period. I agree that fairy tale is the best way to go.

Re: Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish Uncanny X-Men
I believe that the story can safely fit into continuity in all of its elements, the first part between UX 142 and 143 and the second part after UX 144 (still in the Christmas season, with snow all around Xavier's Mansion) and before M/TU 100 (which takes place on “just another day” for Spider-Man, and there are no hints of Christmas holidays).
Originally, on UX 141 the date of the present is given as Friday, October 31, 1980.
So almost two months before Christmas.
The adventures seen in this story may be episodes never told. Sentinels in the Blue Area of the Moon, for example, is something never seen, if I am not mistaken, just as a malfunctioning Doombot obsessed with Storm may have escaped and tried to “anticipate” what will happen with the real Dr. Doom later.
The fight with the demon N'Garai in UX 143 is the only episode actually mentioned explicitly (and was originally about a month after the fight with the Brotherhood in earlier issues).
UX 144 takes place shortly after UX 143 (the X-Men are sorting out the remnants of the battle between Kitty and the N'Garai), but in theory the confrontation with the Hellfire Club at Dazzler's concert can take place immediately afterwards. We do not see Xavier during the fight (only Kitty, Storm and Angel are present) ; Emma may have erased from the X-Men's minds the fight to cover the escape. Kitty then mentions only the Dazzler concert, not the fight with the Hellfire Club. And then there may be the trip to Savage Land to confront the new Garrokk, the Frozen Man (a brand new character, only resembling the previous Garrokk).
