Okay, I know about Diamond's bankruptcy, but am I missing something?

According to Diamond's site, they're shipping fewer than half of these titles this week. And it's even worse, when you consider the variant covers.

Among the titles AWOL from Diamond are
Daredevil #19
Infinity Watch #3
Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2
and
Wolverine: Revenge #5

This can't be good...
I can't promise you that things will improve, if we make changes;
I can promise you that they won't improve, if we don't.

Well, belay that.

Diamond's shipping list is now completely empty.

That can't be good.

Diamond's now been sold, but the new owners are interested in "Funkos, Hasbro, Legos, Mattel"..., "just know how it is currently being run is not working. From everything I’ve read and been hearing, there’s just not enough volume for the labor involved. We don’t like to sell $5 cds and dvds. We can’t make any money on it. We want to sell $20 products." and the "comics thing wasn’t a big part of this at all"

The comic shop that i use has every one of these issues in stock, along with all the DC and Indi issues due out this week, including variants, TPB's and Omnibus editions.
Out in the Land Down-Under, beneath a rocky outcrop, deep within the back paddock, dwells the Stray Lamb.

For what it's worth, Diamond hasn't been where most U.S. comics stores get most of their comics for a couple of years now. Marvel's periodicals are now distributed primarily through Penguin Random House--Diamond was subdistributing them. The only significant publishers that are currently exclusive with Diamond are, I believe, Dynamite and DSTLRY.

I knew that comic shops were getting their stuff from other sources. I just meant it couldn't be good for Diamond.
