More observations:
I don't know why MCP split Tales to Astonish 78 this way, but the panel numbering seems off. Also, as reflected in your list, the whole segment on Krang's treason and Attuma vs Avengers is closely related and spans over a few hours. The following issues, Avengers 27-29 should be kept together because they occur over a short period of time and have not time gap between them. Given the references in the comics, Avengers 29 occurs while Thor is helping Hercules in Thor 129 and while Iron Man visited the Avengers HQ as his plant has been closed down in Tales of Suspense 79. This means that the placement for previous Journey Into Mystery/Thor 124-128 is too far in the timeline. I would place Journey Into Mystery/Thor 124-127 together (they all occur on the same day) anywhere before Tales to Astonish 78. Thor 128-129 should go right after the Krang and Attuma stories. Same goes for Tales of Suspense 79-80 and Tales to Astonish 82 who are part of the same storyline involving Namor and Iron Man. As for the Thor 130-133 segment, I only placed the Thor 130 (1-3:2) segment with Thor taking Hercules home and would move the rest in the DEFEAT OF GALACTUS to MASTER PLAN OF THE MANDARIN list because it occurs over several days but at the same time as X-Men 26.
Here is my take:
Journey into Mystery 124-125
Thor 126-127
[...] Whatever Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and X-Men issues you see fit. Only the Daredevil and Spider-Man issues are interconnected.
Tales to Astonish 75/2 (7:1-7:4): The Hulk arrives in Washington.
Marvels 3 (10:1): The army fires at the Hulk in Washington. (This is an example where the timeline in Marvels 3 does not fit with the original comics.
Tales to Astonish 75/2 (7:5-12): Gen. Ross fires the T-Gun at the Hulk and sends him into the future.
Tales to Astonish 76/2-79/2: Hulk finds the Executioner in the future and plays a role in a battle between him and King Arrkam. When he gets back to the present, he crosses paths with Hercules who is on his way to Hollywood.
Tales to Astonish 78 (1 - 6:2): Puppet Master prepares to take control of the Sub-Mariner. Namor dives off Hank Pym's ship.
Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl 1 (1 - 3)
Avengers 26 (1 - 4): Hawkeye acts like a jerk towards Cap's instructions. Again!
Tales to Astonish 78 (1 - 6:3) ~ Avengers 26 (5:1) Namor swims to New-York.
Tales to Astonish 78 (7:1): Pym's crew have controlled the fire in the ship.
Tales to Astonish 78 (7:2-8:1) ~ Avengers 26 (5:2 - 5:6): Janet decides to fly to New York to warn the Avengers of Namor's threat.
Avengers 26 (5:7 - 20): The Wasp is abducted by Attuma and signals the Avengers who go to her rescue.
Tales to Astonish 78 (8:2-8:4): Namor arrives at the Puppet Master's sanctum.
Tales to Astonish 78 (9-12): Puppet Master has Namor robbing a bank for him and national security goes after him.
Tales to Astonish 79 (1-7): Namor escapes the military and dives in the Hudson River.
Avengers 27 (1-4): Hawkeye captures the Beetle who broke into Avengers HQ.
Marvels 3 (6 - 8:3): New York is flooded. Hawkeye warns the Coast Guard of Attuma's role in it.
Tales to Astonish 79 (8-12): Atlantis is attacked by the Behemoth and Dorma finds Namor who broke the Puppet Master's control over him. Krang orders the Puppet Master to take control of it.
Tales to Astonish 80-81: Namor defeats the Behemoth. Krang forces Dorma to become his wife and Namor goes mad when he hears about it.
Avengers 27 (5 - 20:3): Hawkeye joins the Avengers in their battle and they defeat Attuma.
Marvels 3 (8:4 - 9:1): People think it is the Apocalypse.
Thor 128: Thor meets Tana Nile. Then he plans a rematch against Hercules but the latter is tricked by Pluto to take his place in the Netherworld.
Thor 129: Thor acts as Hercules' champion to prevent him from staying in the Netherworld. Tana Nile sends Jane away.
Thor 130 (1-3:2): Thor takes Hercules back to Olympus.
Avengers 27 (20:4-20:5): Back in their HQ, the Avengers get an alarming message regarding the Wasp.
Avengers 28: Pym is back in the team as Goliath and they rescue the Wasp who as been captured by the Beetle and the Collector. Goliath gets stuck a 10 feet.
Avengers 29 (1-14:3): The Black Widow enlists the Swordsman and Power Man to defeat the Avengers. They capture Captain America and take him to a dungeon.
Tales of Suspense 79 (1-5:2): With his plant closed down, Tony Stark tries to find a place to recharge.
Avengers 29 (14:4:20) The rest of the Avengers locate Cap and the three villains manage to escape.
Tales of Suspense 79 (5:3-12): Still exhausted after an unfruitful visit to Avengers HQ, Iron Man decides to gives himself to the authorities to get to Washington, but he is attacked by Krang.
Tales of Suspense 80: An exhausted Iron Man must deal with the Sub-Mariner who engages battle with him.
Tales to Astonish 82: After a long and inconclusive battle, Sub-Mariner spots Krang's ship and decides to go after it.
Tales of Suspense 77/2: Cap recalls his days during the French Occupation and his encounter with a mysterious woman with whom he fell in love.
As mentioned in my last post, the Hulk sequence in Tales to Astonish 75/2 to 79/2 is placed too early. I would split Tales to Astonish 75/2 differently so that a Tales to Astonish 75/2 (1-6:5) segment stays with the Tales to Astonish 70/2-74/2 sequence. Then there is some time required for the Hulk to hop to Washington and then Tales to Astonish 75/2 (7:1-12) to 79/2 should be placed between Thor 127 and 128 because of Hercules' timeline. Unfortunately, this is one occasion where Marvels 3 is way off. But even if my solution places Marvels 3 (10:1) before Marvels 3 (6-8:3), I think I can live with that if that means that the original timeline is respected.StrayLamb wrote: ↑Fri Feb 01, 2019 12:15 am Engagement of Reed and Sue to Defeat of Galactus:
