RobinHoodMtl wrote: Fri Oct 14, 2022 10:19 am There is a scene in TTA 97 displaying the X-Men fighting pterodactyls as they arrive in the Savage Land in X-Men 10. However the original scene did not establish that Ka-Zar and Zabu were observing them at that moment. In X-Men 10, both only show up on page 9 after the Swamp Men have captured Marvel Girl.

Though it is a minor detail, I would still make this change to the listing:
X-Men 10 (1 - 7:2)
Tales to Astonish 97 (5:3)-FB
X-Men 10 (7:3 - 21)
I generally only include single panel flashbacks if they're of some importance, but this probably qualifies, so i'll add that in. Thanks.

While making suggestions for MCP's listing for FF@3, I decided to take a closer look to that issue and the version from Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996. I thought I'd share the breakdown I made and let you decide if you want to make a few changes in your own listing. It is a little more elaborate, but also more accurate, IMHO.

  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (2 - 3:4) - Panics sets in and reporters are called in.
  • Fantastic Four Annual 3 (9:7 - 12:3) - When Thor is attacked by Super Skrull, the commotion catches the attention of the Fantastic Four to the events outside. Daredevil hijacks Hydra's bomb truck.
  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (3:5 - 5:2) - As Thor and the Super Skrull fight above them, Phil Sheldon prepares to take pictures of the fights for posterity

  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (5:3 - 5:5) - Sheldon takes pictures of the fight between Cap and the Cobra
  • Fantastic Four Annual 3 (13:1 - 13:2) - The Enchantress and the Executioner join Cobra against Cap.
  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (6 - 10:5) - The Avengers are facing several villains. Sheldon is forced to take some distance for his ow safeety. Grey Gargoyle tries to take Mark hostage.
  • Fantastic Four Annual 3 (13:3 - 14:1) - Hawkeye prevents Mr. Hyde from attacking Cap. The Enchantress casts a spell.
  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (10:6 - 11:2) - During Grey Gargoyle's pursuit, a building wall is damaged and a safe falls off towards Hawkeye.

  • Fantastic Four Annual 3 (15 - 19:2) - Daredevil is driving Hydra bomb away. Several heroes and villains attack and counter-attack. While Attuma and Atlanteans prepare an assault on NY, Daredevil sends the bomb truck to them.
  • Marvel Heroes and Legends 1996 1 (25 - 26) - Daredevil jumps off the truck, The bomb explodes and creates a tornado which destroys Attuma's ships

ASM 900/4 shows the Green Goblin with his flying broomstick, which would narrow your window to ASM 14-17. What's the earlier spring?

Good point. I've moved it back to between ASM 14 & UTSM 15 in Birth of the Avengers to Engagement of Reed & Sue.

I've added Black Widow & Hawkeye flashbacks, resorted Daredevil 9-14, split ASM 34 as it takes place over some time, and made some other minor adjustments and corrections in BOLD.

RobinHoodMtl wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 1:41 am According to MCP and to Doctor Strange's timeline in Official Indes for Spider-Man, Spider-Man Annual 2 and Fantastic Four Annual 3 occur between Strange Tales 144/2 and 145/2. Since there is no more than a few days gap between those two, I would move the ST 130/2-144/2 much closer to ASM Annual 2. I don't think there would be any conflict listing them as follows:

X-Men 11-13
Patsy Walker 121 [Early Spring]
...
Strange Tales 130/2-144/2
Amazing Spider-Man 657 (3 - 19)-FB
Amazing Spider-Man Annual 2
---
Fantastic Four Annual 3 (23) ~ Marvels 2 (33)
Fantastic Four 40th Wedding Anniversary Special 1 (16 - 22)
Strange Tales 145/2 [March]
Doctor Strange: The Last Days of Magic 1 (27 - 32)
Strange Tales 146/2
Doctor Strange: The Last Days of Magic 1 (33 - 35)

I did not check if the March reference is mentioned in ST 145/2, but nevertheless, this move should probably takes the ST 130/2-146/2 sequence a year later than your placement so the month reference, if any, is still plausible.
I'm going to have to disagree with the Spider-Man Index and the MCP character listings here, as Spider-Man Annual 2 and Fantastic Four Annual 3 have been injudiciously placed between Strange Tales 144/2 and 145/2. ST 132/2 takes place on a bleak rain-swept evening, and ST 145/2 takes place on a crisp day in March. JIM 115 is in the Summer, and A 22 is in August, therefore Spider-Man Annual 2 and Fantastic Four Annual 3 occur during the Summer. There is nothing preventing these markers from being adhered to.

Also, the MCP currently lists AF 6/2 between ST 146/2 & 147/2 for Dr Strange and Wong, but it's specifically set during the Winter, and should be placed between ST 144/2 & ST 145/2, while ASM@ 2 & FF@ 3 belong in the long gap between ST 146/2 & ST 147/2.

---
Strange Tales 130/2
Doctor Strange: The Last Days of Magic 1 (27 - 32)
Strange Tales 131/2-134/2
Doctor Strange: The Last Days of Magic 1 (33 - 35)
Strange Tales 135/2-144/2
Alpha Flight 6/2 [Winter]
Strange Tales 145/2-146/2 [March]
Patsy Walker 121 [Early Spring]

---
I've ended up eating my words and taking the suggestion presented above of moving ST 147/2 onwards to the following year. The only implication that Dr Strange has only recently returned to the Sanctum is in the page 1 recap, which isn't really part of the story. The story begins on page 2, with no such injunction. It's simply "A late night," then "One day," then we get to Dr Strange "On a crisp day in March..." I've moved AF 6/2 to the next year as well.

Just a little adjustment. Can't have the pages listed twice, can we?

I've moved Thor: Blood Oath and resorted JIM 120 page ranges.

ASM 29-33 (early September) has been repositioned to line up with A 22-25 (mid to late August).

The Untold Legend of Captain Marvel has been spread out, as it takes place over some time, and now bleeds over into Defeat of Galactus to Master Plan of the Mandarin.

I've joined up DD 10-13, as these all take place over a short space of time.

Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl 1 has been moved to just after X-Men 9 as per Leoparis’ suggestion .

A Shadows & Light flashback involving Captain Marvel has been removed.

Inhumans: The Untold Saga has been re-sorted.

Updates in BOLD.
