COC 1-6 could. I think the issue is that COC 7-10 (and the last two pages of 6) have to happen after Ultimates #2, and they can't take place THAT long after 1-6--it's long enough that the woman from the bar wonders what's been going on with Nigel, stops by, and calls the police in, and his cat is surprisingly still alive.

I've now read DS4 1-3, and I wouldn't say that's where Strange first noticed it but rather when he realized it may be part of a larger problem. In DS4 1 he meets with other magic users who have also noticed an uptick in unusual things, for instance (or at least, Scarlet Witch has noticed).

There is a break between DS4 2-3 so if something needs to go there it can, but I'm not sure IIM2 2-5 have to (yet). In theory, Strange noticed a build-up of oddities off-panel, IIM2 2 would be one instance, and then he starts realizing it may be part of something bigger in DS4 1-2. In theory.

Also, DS4 2 is when Strange's magic starts becoming unreliable/sporadic, in case that's a plot point somewhere else.

More to come on something else, I'm sure.

Tossing out some more observations:

Tony Stark's company starts bleeding money in IIM2 1-8, which is why he hires Mary Jane to straighten things out (and then Stark goes missing for a month to then appear in IIM2 9-11, where the company is still bleeding money).

Tony Stark being "cash poor" is mentioned in All-New, All-Different Avengers #1 (and it's why they have to headquarter in New Jersey in #4, so it's plot-relevant). Also, he's in the new armor he completed in IIM2 1.

ANADA 1 was published the same month as IIM2 3 (meaning, the plot started two months earlier in IIM2 1 and was then referenced in ANADA 1). That's not insurmountable, but still.

Shouldn't IIM2 1-11 happen before ANADA 1-6? But wait, the All-New Avengers are in IIM2 11. Oops.

Both of these books reference the already up-and-running (and doing well) Parker Industries, so it looks like I'll be reading some Amazing Spider-Man next…

Parker Industries being up and running is the status quo for every Amazing Spider-Man/Peter Parker appearance post Secret Wars, so has to go pretty early in the chronology. In ASM 1/4 back-up story, Spider-Woman is 6 months pregnant. These stories all seem to go together..

Also, having finally read ANADA 1-6 I'll say that the Thor from the near future seen in the three Ultron Forever one-shots warning Vision about the Qeng Dynasty is from just after ANADA 6. That's been in the back of my head for a while now, so it's nice to draw a line thru that.

ASM4 1 starts with Parker Industries already global and Spider-Man’s reputation already pretty great. ASM4 3 has Parker Industries moving into the Baxter Building, but it’s mentioned as something Peter has been working on for a while. As mentioned earlier, this is where Horizon University gets its name, so before SS7 1-6. Also, ASM4 1-5 happen in pretty short order.

None of this happened over night, so ASM4 1-5 have to happen at least a few months after SECRET WARS. I’m sure Parker Industries got started shortly after SECRET WARS, but I haven’t seen the “getting started” stuff on-panel anywhere yet (yes, there are commercials seen for Parker Industries products, but that doesn't mean they're hitting the market right then. Actually, people are already using his webware stuff (or whatever it's called) so we know they were released prior to ASM4 1's start. Meaning, the commercials are either reruns or flashbacks).

I agree, the backups in ASM4 1 all happen on the same day, but given that Peter is still hiring people to head departments (for his already expanded) company (Miguel O’Hara, I’m looking at you), I’m thinking these all happen before the main story in ASM4 1.

I haven’t read any Uncanny or New Avengers yet, but ANADA 1-3 makes it clear that both of those teams are already together before ANADA 1 starts. ANADA 1 shouldn’t be too terribly long after A6 0 (the Vision strolls through Avengers Tower, which was going to be sold soon in A6 0, and its recently been sold as of ANADA 1), but it shouldn’t be immediately after A6 0, either.

Avengers Tower was sold because of Stark’s money problems, so I guess that’s been going on before IIM2 1 starts. Why? Well, IIM2 1-11 is basically one big chain of events and the ANADA team is already together in IIM2 11. We can’t have IIM2 1-11 -> A6 0 -> ANADA 1-3 -> IIM2 1-11 after all. Of course, Iron Man’s already in his new suit in ANADA 1-3, so I suppose that’s going to have to be the prototype seen in COC. Oh well.

As with almost all Bendis stories, IIM2 1-11 wants to be time sensitive and I’m not seeing many good options for a break for Iron Man to appear elsewhere. We could interrupt the search for Madame Masque in IIM2 2, but eh. We could put a break between IIM2 5-6, but that window’s still broken from when Madame Masque did her thing in IIM2 1, so bleh.

Some notes on Uncanny and New Avengers:

Deadpool joins the Unity Squad in A6 0 and he’s already on the team in UA3 1 (where Spider-Man finally quits over Deadpool still being on the team). Synapse quits the team (at least temporarily, I’m assuming she’ll be back) after #4.

In Uncanny Avengers Annual (v2) #1, both Deadpool and Synapse are on the team (we don’t see Spider-Man). Also, UA@2 1 came out the same month as UA3 2.

So, does UA@2 1 happen after UA3 4 but before Synapse quits because we don’t see Spider-Man? Or does UA@2 1 happen before UA3 1 (but after A6 0) because Deadpool and Synapse are on the team at the same time, and Spider-Man just didn’t make it for that mission? I’m leaning toward the latter…

UA3 1-4 has to happen at least after ANADA 1-3 because Deadpool mentions that Vision is already on Iron Man’s team. Iron Man appears briefly in UA3 2, so it can’t happen between IIM2 8-9.

UA3 5-6 happen at some later point.

FCBD2015:A (2nd story) (the Inhumans story) should probably happen fairly early on, since Johnny is still wearing his FF suit (he’s wearing a new yellow & black suit everywhere else I’ve seen him so far); he and Medusa are already smooching (do we ever see the start of their relationship, or is that just one of those *it happened off-panel* things?).

ULTS4 1-2 mentions that Blue Marvel's son is a cast member in NA4, but that doesn't really offer a placement clue (but I though I'd mention it anyway).

It seems as though there could be a break between NA4 2-3, but it depends. Do we ever find out where the listening device Songbird found in #3 came from? If it’s from the Maker, then there probably shouldn’t be too much time since #2. If it’s SHIELD or someone else, then sure. NA4 3-6 happen pretty quickly, then NA4 7 happens at some later point after an unrelated mission in Rome.

So yeah. Where’d the listening device come from?

There's no "getting started" stuff anywhere that i'm aware of - Parker Industries is up and running in all comics.. I do think ASM4 1-5 at the very least has to go prior to UA3 1, where Spider-Man and Johnny Storm are working together on the Unity team..

Johnny Storm & Medusa's relationship begins with a kiss shown in a flashback in Uncanny Inhumans 8..

Just a throw-in for what it's worth - in Spider-Woman 5, Carol Danvers tells Jessica of her week with the Ultimates, so they're up and running prior to this issue..

I don't remember where the listening device came from, or have it my notes, but i don't see a particular need to break up NA4 1-6 unless we really have to..

Between A6 0 & UA3 1, Spider-Man and the Torch are on the same team; when Spider-Man quits in UA3 1, Johnny's pretty much "OK, whatever." When Parker Industries publicly reveal they bought the Baxter Building in ASM4 3, Johnny's pretty much "WHAT THE #@&%$!" (and then gets over it). Nothing's said about them being on the same team in ASM4 3 (of course, the absence of evidence isn't evidence), and nothing's said in ASM4 1-5 about Spider-Man being on the Avengers (any team). Slott's usually good about putting in references to stuff like that, making me think ASM4 1 starts at some point after Spider-Man quits (so, after UA3 1).

As for NA4 1-6, now knowing where the listening device came from, I'm thinking there should be a small break between NA4 2-3. Maybe a few days or a week, and maybe not even long enough for other appearances to be slotted into it, but we'll see what happens I guess.

SCRW2 8 reveals she’s known about her mother for “months,” whom she met/learned about in SCRW2 3-4. Also, SCRW2 8 reveals she’s been seeing psychiatrist “Dr. Grand” weekly for “months.” I’m thinking that SCRW2 1-8 don’t happen across all one trip, but rather several separate trips across “months” (aside from SCRW2 3-4, which is a two-parter).

Also, in SCRW2 8 the Scarlet Witch says she’s leaving to look into her past “tonight,” but doesn’t actually do that until SCRW2 11 or so. Obviously she got distracted by something, but what (or, I suppose, she could have been lying to “Dr. Grand”)? SCRW2 9 is a CIVIL WAR II tie-in; maybe that’s what it was?

Wiccan and Speed appear in SCRW2 8, so not during NA4 3-6 (Wiccan’s busy).

Also also, yes, UA@2 1 should happen before SCRW2 3 (at least). UA@2 1 was published the month before SCRW2 1, so it should probably go before that as well.

It looks like there’s going to have to be a gap during SQS4 1. A6 0 says it happens after SQS41, but A6 0 has Deadpool joining the Uncanny Avengers team; Deadpool is with that team at the end of SQS4 1. There’s no character overlap, though. A6 0 would be before SQS4 1 for the Avengers and after for the Squadron. Basically:

SQS4 1 (1 - 19:3): the Squadron Supreme kills Namor. Squadron appears, no Avengers.
A6 0: the Squadron has acquired Oracle Inc. following their “recent dealings with Namor and the Atlanteans.” Also, Deadpool joins the Avengers. Squadron and Avengers appear.
SQS4 1 (19:4 - 23): Deadpool is already with the Avengers. Avengers appear, no Squadron.

In SQS4 2, the Squadron already has Oracle Inc., so after A6 0. Also, SQS4 2 refers to SQS4 1’s events as “in recent months.” Also in this issue is where Hyperion gets the idea to be a trucker, so before HYP 1. SQS4 2-5 then happen in pretty short order. HYP 1 (where he’s a trucker) was published the same month as SQS4 5, and then he’s still a trucker in SQS4 6. SQS4 6-8 happen some time after SQS4 5 (there are flashbacks to various adventures that happen between SQS4 5-6 in #6). SQS4 9 is a CIVIL WAR II tie-in.

Speaking of Hyperion #1-6, the whole thing lasts maybe a week. Also, Thundra and Iron Man appear. Thundra and Hyperion start …dating… in HYP 1-6; they aren’t as of SQS4 6, so HYP 1-6 happens after SQS4 8.

Well, HCSHIELD 1-6 ended up being an unbroken chain of events, didn’t it? Orrgo goes missing in #5 and #6 reveals he was sent to Pleasant Hill. The Howling Commandos go looking for him in #6, and I’m guessing it didn’t take long to figure out he was gone. Also, Kraye (the guy who sent Orrgo to Pleasant Hill) is locked up in #5, so #6’s -FB has to happen during #5 (which means Orrgo probably wasn’t in Pleasant Hill for very long). Obviously, #6 is an AVENGERS STANDOFF! tie-in.

ANHAWK2 1-6 spans a bit of time (also, is it just me or is it odd that the future segments went from 15 to 20 to 30 years in the future within two issues? Even though it’s one adventure?). #1 is in one night (and after Clint has joined Sunspot’s New Avengers). #2 spans several adventures with the New Avengers (so likely several weeks because he’s grown a beard during those adventures). Ms. America appears in #2, which was published the same month as ULTS4 2. Also, #2 picks up where #1 left off (more or less), and leads into #3, which lasts a day or three, which leads into #4. #4-5 happen in a day. #6 probably spans two days, and starts on the same night as #4-5. So we have:

ANHAWK2 1 (one night) (after NA4 1)
ANHAWK2 2 (a month or so)
ANHAWK2 3-6 (maybe a week, max?)

The current day bits of Captain America: Sam Wilson #1-6 take place (roughly, I’ll say) “six months” after the flashback bits. In the flashbacks, Sam and Steve have a disagreement, which is referenced in a few other books (like ANADA) and likely happen pretty early on after SECRET WARS. The current day bits happen after the formation of the All-New Avengers seen in ANADA 1-3.

CA:SAMW 1-3 happen over a few days, then CA:SAMW 3-4 are separated by at least a few weeks, then CA:SAMW 4-6 happen over a few days. Of course, Sam is Cap-Wolf during the few weeks between CA:SAMW 3-4 so he can’t make any normal appearances elsewhere during that time. CA:SAMW 7 is an AVENGERS STANDOFF! tie-in.

ASM4 1.1-1.3 mentions the Ben Parker Foundation which was established in ASM4 1-5, so these have to go after those. Also, it’s mid-December, shortly before the holidays. Also also, Beast appears in New Attilan (for what it’s worth). #1.1-1.3 happen over two or three days, #1.4 is roughly a week later. #1.5 is “six weeks” after #1.1 (and Iron Man appears). #1.6 starts the same day as #1.5 and spans about a week.
