Chronology for MARVELS 3

michel wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 11:42 amI'm inclined to agree with your PS, because of Marvels #3. Attuma's flood happens during A 27 and MARVELS 3 (6 - 9:1). You have FF 48 (14 - 20) just after A 27 (1 - 20:3), the stones in the sky happen in MARVELS 3 (13:3) and up. But where do you put the flames in the sky from FF 48 (8:3 - 13) and MARVELS 3 (11:2 - 13:2), and the period shown in MARVELS 3 (9:2 - 11:1)? If you have it before the flood and A 27, then you have MARVELS 3 (9:2 - 13:2) before MARVELS 3 (6 - 9:1).
I've just been going thru the whole of MARVELS 3, and revising my chronology accordingly. Busiek abandons the chronology for this period as laid out in the Official Marvel Indexes for the Avengers & FF. This pretty much renders everything written here null and void. Most importantly, MARVELS 3 places A 30-31 concurrently with FF 45-50, as well as establishing that Tony Stark must have been held for some time by the Mandarin, and was his prisoner during the Galactus event. This is evident from the time-line established in MARVELS 3 for Senator Byrd.

This is a complete review of MARVELS 3 and how it meshes with existing comics (listings in italics not covered by MARVELS 3)..

[Caveat: This list takes MARVELS 3 completely at face-value. A deeper scrutiny may reveal flaws or errors in Busiek & Ross's presentation of events (or Phil Sheldon's in-story presentation).]

There just doesn't seem to be anywhere that Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl makes any kind of sense for all of the characters. MARVELS 3 has inserted a gap between pages 4 & 5 of FF 45. It can work for Thing and Mr Fantastic, and would explain why Sue and Torch aren't present, but i don't think that will work for Hulk, and it doesn't really work anywhere for Giant-Man.
Out in the Land Down-Under, beneath a rocky outcrop, deep within the back paddock, dwells the Stray Lamb.
