Motion Pictures Funnies Weekly was published before Marvel Comics #1, and contained the first appearance of Namor. It was then reprinted & expanded on in the third story in Marvel Comics #1.

Right. It was an artificial world created by Franklin that exists/existed within the 616-Universe. So if you're looking for a designation, it would be 616.

As it was, Spider-Man Family had two new stories(not always both canon-616), a reprint,(mostly from the '70s) and a Spider-Man J reprint.(Japanese Manga Spider-Man) This new format makes more sense to me, in that it will have stories from series currently being published. If it were Marvel Boy, either one, then the entire costume would be miscolored... and both versions wear a mask.

If it's Young Avenger, then either his head is miscolored or he's not wearing his mask. The rest of of the costume is a match.

Spider-Man Family did have canon-616 stories, but most(all?) of them were in the past.

After the relaunch, it sounds like the canon-616 stories will now be in the current day.
