Re: Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD TPBs
Found a good deal for the Omnibus and it arrived today. If anyone is interested, the 2000 TPB does appear to be complete. All of the Nick Fury stories from Strange Tales 150-168 are reprinted in their entirety without any modifications to the original page layouts (no split pages, deleted panels, ad...

Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD TPBs
Does anyone know if the 2000 Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD TPB reprinted issues were cut/modified/changed in any way? In October there are two collections coming out reprinting Nick Fury stories: SHIELD by Lee & Kirby reprints Strange Tales 135-150, FF 21, and TOS 78. It comes out October 13th and i...

Re: Hydra agents' next and last apps in 1992?
Going by publication dates of those Wolverine issues, I have Hydra agents listed in the following: Marvel Comics Presents 93 Jan 1992 Spider-Man 22 May 1992 (second story?) Spider-Man 23 June 1992 (second story?) Nomad II 4 Aug 1992 Marvel Comics Presents 125 April 1993 X-Force 8 March 1992 and Alph...

Re: Boom-Boom & Rictor's real names?
On a chart at the end of New Mutants Annual 7 (published between NM 100 and XF 1, July 1991), she is named Tabitha Smith. Probably not the first time the name was mentioned but it should narrow the gap a couple of years. Robert Edit: The title page of the New Mutants Summer Special lists her as Tabi...

Re: W2 #48 - first appearance of Maverick?
In Maverick vol. 1 1 (Jan 1997), Elena Ivanovna calls Maverick "Nord" which angers him. His reply: "Nobody calls me that! That name is as dead as my past". I didn't see any reference to "Christoph" in the issue. In Maverick vol. 2 1 (Sept 1997), Maverick is dreaming of ...

Re: X-Men: First Class (again)
This issue occurs at the exact same moment that: A: Kang has captured the Avengers (Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Giant-Man) B: Annihilus has captured the Fantastic Four C: Sub-Mariner's appearance provokes an immediate response by the US military in the middle of New York City (how long shou...

Re: Reese, Cole & Macon - Knights of Hellfire
I had thought the name "Knights of Hellfire" refered to the armored hellfire goons from Uncanny X-men 129 and Marvel Graphic Novel 4. Not sure of any other appearances, if any. In MGN 4, I'm referring to the armored soldiers that attack Danielle Moonstar and her grandfather, not the four b...

Re: Reese, Cole & Macon - Knights of Hellfire
They're listed by their full names in the Official Marvel Index to the X-Men published in 1994. I couldn't find any in-comic reference to any of these full names prior to that year, so it's probably from some other source. Another index, handbook, collectors cards, action figures, maybe even from a ...

Two Blackouts in Hoods gang?
Blackout II is shown as part of the Hoods gang in New Avengers 35, 46, 50, 57, 64 and Annual 2. However, Blackout I appears with the gang in New Avengers 55, 60, 61, and 63.
Should this be assumed an artists error (repeated four times) or are BOTH members of the Hoods gang?

Re: Who's Who in "Utopia"? Help needed ASAP
Yes, he's shown in two panels. I can't figure out what color he is though. Gray? Much darker than Dani's white shirt but much lighter than her black hair. I'm not trying to be funny, I honestly can't tell what color he is supposed to be in these panels. Almost looks like the colorist wasn't sure abo...

Re: Who's Who in "Utopia"? Help needed ASAP
New Mutants v3 #5 confirms that Dani's horse is still Brightwind. Dani tells Cyclops that Brightwind got plenty of exercise beating up the God of War recently. Not sure about the color of the horse though. He's changed color in the past, hasn't he?

Re: Savage Land Swamp Men
Just pointing out that the Swamp Men in Marvel Fanfare #4 are just the Savage Land Mutates turned back into their normal forms, not generic swamp men. Also UX Annual 12 (1988) has "many of the peoples of the Savage Land" that M'Rin saved. Some are probably Swamp Men if you can identify the...

Re: Spider-Man vs Sentinels!
I don't have Amazing Spider-Man 513 to see what type of sentinel Spider-Man is fighting, but he does fight some Prime Sentinels in Uncanny X-Men 346 wearing his classic costume in New York City (Operation Zero Tolerance). Does 2 1/2 out of 3 help?

Re: Magneto's Acolytes: where are they now?
So far I've found nothing else. It seems that after Magneto: Dark Seduction, most of the acolytes don't make any more appearances. A new group with just a few of the former members appear around X-Men 201 (Unuscione, Cargill, and Exodus). I can't find my New Excalibur series (Exaclibur III?), the on...

Re: Magneto's Acolytes: where are they now?
Still researching, but a few things I've come across: Short answer, I don't show any more appearances for Kamal or Mellancamp after UX 380. No chronological appearances for Katu after UX 379. 1. I've been through X 99 a few times this morning and I can't find Cortez or Voght in the issue, although I...
