Re: Hashing out X-Men post utopa-pre regenesis

Who is narrating? I don't know the story to be able to judge where it should be placed, but if it would fit better after Rictor's repowering and the only factor preventing it from going there was the quote above, then depending on who the narrator was (e.g. if it isn't a member of X-Factor), they ma...

Re: Golden Age Young Allies

But we do know for sure otherwise! The Young Allies 70th Anniversary Special says that those stories didn't take place and that most of those characters didn't exist. No, we don't and it doesn't. It gives an updated / "real" version of how they met and their first adventure, and it notes they had a...

Re: Golden Age Young Allies

I noticed that some Golden Age characters have the Young Allies series in their chronologies. Wasn't this written out of canon by the 70th Anniversary Special? The Golden Age series was published within the Marvel Universe and based on the adventures of the "real" Young Allies, who differed in many...

Re: H3 106-FB

The only indicator that would suggest the story takes place later is Jen's dialogue that shows she knows Bruce is the Hulk. Without that, I don't think anyone would be in doubt as to the story taking place much earlier. And when the handbooks did the She-Hulk's entry, we queried what was said with ...

Re: H3 106-FB

A big problem with placing the fb after Jen becomes the She-Hulk is that the Champions had long since split up. Also, I have little doubt that an appendix rupturing would trigger any stress-activated transformations, based on personal experience of the former. And we can't go with the Champions temp...

Re: Valkyrie in Avengers #83

To add to what Don and Daron have said: comicbookdb.com is in error. No Samantha in Avengers #83. Samantha first appears in IHulk #142. Brunhilde is present, in as much as her essence is empowering Enchantress. Basically, her soul is there (and then empowering Samantha in IHulk #142), but unlike whe...

It's definitely the 616 versions, not the cinema universe.

Feasible they could be the same, though I doubt that was the intent.

Based on his alabaster white skin, I'd say Tombstone.

Re: Villain in Dark Reign: The Cabal #1/3

It is Tombstone. I guess this might be the only time he showed up as part of the gang. Maybe he wasn't in the gang but attended the funeral because he knew the dead guy from prison or past crimes together, or maybe he was active with the gang but we never saw the events he was involved with.

Ghost Rider (Ketch) chronology amendments

Feedback on the GR Index suggests some amendments needed to the GR chronologies. Daron has parsed through things and figured out potential changes, but since some of this gets complicated and involves multiple characters, I would like to also run his suggested changes by the MCP forums, both for wid...

Re: MAJOR disasters, invasions, and battles on Marvel Earth

Fear Itself: Fellowship of Fear lists events that increased the fear levels amongst the world's population prior to that storyline, pretty much all of which would fit the bill for what you are asking.

Re: Name that 2001 celebrity!

There's plenty of other fictional characters who are real in the MU (not counting the Marvel characters themselves), so no reason Ali G couldn't be. And it'd be very weird for Sacha Baron Cohen to go along to a sporting event as Ali G unless he was performing (no evidence that he is), as weird as it...

Re: Flashbacks in Uncanny X-Force #1

Can anyone propose where the flashbacks in last week's Uncanny X-Force #1 should go? 1st FB: Professor X has Angel work with a bazooka because Xavier predicts "difficulty in the coming years." I think the only time Angel was ever seen with a bazooka was on the cover of UX 1, but never in-story. Ice...

Re: Name That Alien! (Prison World -- Wolverine v2 #133-138)

#21-22 the small one is from the race of Jar Jar Binks (Star Wars alien) No, Gungans have long snouts, he has no nose. He does look annoyingly familiar though - I'm sure I've seen his species before. And now I've got it - he's a Courga, first seen in Marvel Presents #5's Guardians of the Galaxy sto...
