Re: PANINI COMICS!

Loki Are all of Panini Comics produced in the various countries. If I was to look to England to find these would the same titles be available or are they exclusive to Italy? They produce different titles for different countries. Some projects get reprinted in multiple countries (most of the recent ...

Re: PANINI COMICS!

It's not Earth-616 ... I think some Handbook entries have actually made reference to that universe, though. I'd be interested in learning which issues of what titles have new stories, too. There's not a lot of information on non-US original stories on the web, and that's a shame. -Jeph! Should have...

Re: PANINI COMICS!

Hi everybody it's me again bothering you! Seriously, do you have any information regarding the Marvel UK comics AFTER Italian brand Panini acquired it in 1994 or so? I'm sure that the series Spectacular Spider-Man Adventures, for instance, contains some original material, but... does some of ...

Re: Origin of Fenris

More solid confirmation of this (e.g. not just someone describing them that way) came from Generation X '96 (annual), where Synch copied their powers. Since he could only copy mutants, that seemed to confirm their status. Synch was able to copy Spider-Man's powers in Amazing Spider-Man 437. Peter's...

Re: Origin of Fenris

Yes and no. A kid born with powers but no X-gene is not a mutant, as you note - we've now got the term Caterpillar for at least one such type, and there might be others. However, an adult who gets the X-gene added to their system, while they could scientifically speaking be considered a mutant, woul...

Re: Origin of Fenris

The first mention of the Struckers being genetically manipulated to get their powers was in their Deluxe handbook entry. Other subsequent stories have referred to them as mutants. More solid confirmation of this (e.g. not just someone describing them that way) came from Generation X '96 (annual), wh...

Re: Bloodscream bio

Unfortunately Wiki sites help this stuff promulgate, and I've even caught posters on one site openly discussing whether to make up info for their site in the hopes it would spread across the internet until a Marvel writer unwittingly used it in a comic and made it "canon;" their consensus was that ...

Re: Bloodscream bio

The origin is given in Wolverine (2nd series/1st ongoing series) #78. The name is fanwank. Unfortunately Wiki sites help this stuff promulgate, and I've even caught posters on one site openly discussing whether to make up info for their site in the hopes it would spread across the internet until a M...

Re: TRUTH & CA 247-FB

The suggested listing for Professor Reinstein (A. Erskine) does not include a listing from Truth. Does this imply that the Reinstein which is assassinated in issue 6 is Reinstein II? That would suggest the press conference depicted is the second time Cap fails to prevent a Nazi saboteur. That same ...

Re: Ka-Zar's son's name - where was it revealed?

ShadZ wrote: Abdul Alhazred appearing in MCP was not what brought TARZAN into Marvel's continuity. Abdul Alhazred is a character taken from H.P. Re: European/Other Countries Marvel Comics

Well done Loki, Are those titles the ones that Marvel put out as X-Men Manga years ago? I believe so, though from what little I've been able to find out about the X-Men Manga, the Japanese run lasted longer than the English-translation reprints. Likewise with the Spider-Man Manga http://www.milehig...
