Re: First X-Men #1-5

By the way, Jason's misquoting things. UXM #309 says that Xavier returned to the US to "pursue" his life's work -- not "continue" his life's work. The latter implies that he had begun his life's work before that issue. The former doesn't. Interesting that Jason changed the quote....

Re: First X-Men #1-5

I can't decide whether it's hilarious or sad that you consider "addressing your points" to be a "debate tactic." Really? Responding is a tactic? For God's sake. I sort of think you don't know what "debate tactic" actually means and you're just copying the points I bring...

Re: First X-Men #1-5

My intent is not to disparage you or Col. Fury...but to point out that I disagree with your placement. There's a difference between saying "I disagree" and saying "you are wrong." ("Glaringly" wrong, at that!) He just reiterated your original placement talking point. S...

Re: First X-Men #1-5

Also, reading that whole thread -- wow, check out my ability to be shown new evidence and to alter my conclusions! Lookit that whole Cable/Post/Prof. X thing, how Michael brings up new chronology clues that I was unaware of and I change my thoughts on placement. Lookit how I consider the pros and co...

Re: First X-Men #1-5

Wait a sec: You divided the fight scene in World War Hulk: Spider-Man vs. Thor, because it showed Jean Grey and Cyclops put putting and you billed it as a date rather than an outing moving this scene by the flashback in UX 138, when the entirety of the story takes place at the same time. ... I'm let...

Re: First X-Men #1-5

"Glaringly wrong." You're hilarious. In general, I think Col. Fury is intelligent enough to read comics, weigh evidence, draw conclusions, and follow the arguments and suggestions of various people on these boards. But I didn't like how you stepped in to "correct" him above. You ...

Re: First X-Men #1-5

No, Col. Fury. Yes, Col. Fury. Xavier is...standing... He's not shown standing on-panel, Jason. He's not shown sitting either. He's shown only from the waist up. As was discussed last year, in the thread Fury linked to, aspects of that final page are obviously errors. The school is the Cassaday ver...

Billy the Kid, and/or Caligula?

Have the Western outlaw Billy the Kid, or the Roman emperor Caligula, ever appeared in Marvel comics? In Amazing X-Men (2014) #1-5, Azazel has several damned souls as his pirates, including both of these guys. I need to figure out if this X-Men arc is the first time they've ever appeared in a Marvel...

Melinda Morrison in SOLOA 5/2

Melinda Morrison's appearance in SOLOA 5/2 is missing. It should come between her appearances in M/FAN 6 and SM/DS:WDD-FB. She appears in both the main story, and a flashback occurring before the story. John Kowalski/Death also appears in that flashback. We have him listed as appearing in the main s...

Re: Avengers Annual '99 placement question

Okay, that makes sense -- he wasn't on the active roster between #12-13, so it has to occur between #15-16. Check! Thanks, Paul!

Thanks, Paul!
Iron Man in armor (and so after A3 15)
This is the only status quo I'm blanking on. Could you explain further?

Avengers Annual '99 placement question

Avengers Annual '99 is dated July 1999, the same month as Avengers v3 #18. However, we have it placed between Avengers v3 #12-13, six months out of sequence. How come? It looks like Justice doesn't have his broken leg, so it should at least occur before Avengers v3 #16, the start of the battle where...

Re: Queen Divine Justice and Hulk in H3 #33

Interesting, so there's some definite weirdness going on in the Hulk's chronology at this time.

Queen Divine Justice and Hulk in H3 #33

The MCP currently has Queen Divine Justice appearing in H3 #33 between BP3 #39 and #41. That can't work. In BP3 #38, QDJ travels to America with the Black Panther. In #39, she's in the Wakandan Embassy in NYC, and sneaks out. In #41, she shows up at her grandmother's house, which is also in NYC. But...
