Thing in SWII 7

Currently we have the Thing's appearance in SWII 7 taking place prior to his appearance in WCA2 3. However, we have Iron Man's appearance in SWII 5 taking place after his appearance in WCA2 4. That's impossible- SWII 5 would have to take place after SWII 7. Does anyone have any idea whose chronology...

Ultron in SWII 7

Currently, we have Ultron's appearance in SW II 7 placed between M/SHSW 12 and TG 21. That's out of sequence with the Thing's chronology. Now, Ultron's appearance in that issue is Mephisto's doing, so it's possible that he transported Ultron from an earlier period in time but is there a reason why w...

Re: When is a flashback not a flashback?

The problem I have is that often writers use phrases like "earlier this night" to make a scene transition but there's nothing else that indicates the scene is taking place earlier. For example, in UX 206, the first 21 pages featured most of the X-Men (but not Nightcrawer),Jessica Drew, Ama...

Strange in T 333 and DRSTR2 59

Strange's appearance in T 333 is placed before his appearance in DRSTR2 58-59. That makes no sense. In DRSTR2 58-59, Strange learns that Mephisto placed a block on his memories of Dracula being alive during the Six-Fingered Hand saga in Defenders (Defenders 94-100), uses the Eye to remove it and lea...

Yes, there is- on page 1 it states "This story takes place before Marvel Two-In-One # 86 and West Coast Avengers Volume 1 #1!" Of course, we've ignored footnotes before.

Re: Kingpin and Wolverine in DD 196

Never mind, you're right. So DD 196 would take place after M/TU 135 in both the Kingpin's and Logan's chronologies. I've found something that will narrow down placement in the Kingpin's chronology. PPTSS 81 takes place after TG 5 in Peter's chronology. TG 5 takes place after FF 255 in the Thing's ch...

Re: Kingpin and Wolverine in DD 196

I've been doing some more research and I realized that the problem can't be the Kingpin's chronology. Currently, we have DD 196 placed after CA 289 in Logan's chronology. We have CA 289 placed after A 237 in Captain America's chronology. And we have A 237 placed after PPTSS 82 in Peter's chronology....

Re: Kingpin and Wolverine in DD 196

According to Matt's chronology, DD 193 takes place prior to Matt's appearance in IM 169. According to Peter's chronology, PPTSS 80 takes place after MTU 129-130. According to Wanda's chronology, MTU 129-130 take place after A 231. Assuming that all of the above chronologies are correct, PPTSS 80 mus...

Re: Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four 1 (2010)

When you put it that way,Russ, Paul's advice is sound. We'll wait for the remaining issues. If next month's issue takes place prior to Eddie Brock's first appearance as Venom but features Valeria, for example, then we'll know the series is non-canon.

Re: Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four 1 (2010)

Um..no. Let's not be hasty here, Michael. The Indexes are indeed one source of canon, seeing as how they're official Marvel publications and all. Not only that, but MARVEL SAGA ("the official history of the Marvel Universe") establishes the chronology as well. SAGA only went up to Reed's ...

Revenge of the Living Monolith

Currently, M/GN 17, Revenge of the Living Monolith is placed before WCA 1 in various Avengers' chronologies and before Amazing Spider-Man 258, where Peter has the symbiote removed, in Spider-Man's chronology. Is there a reason for that? Hawkeye, Wonder Man and Rhodey appear, and they seem to be part...

WM 1

In Sandman's chronology, Sandman's appearance in WM 1 is placed before his appearance in MTIO 96. In Wonder Man's chronology, Wonder Man's appearance in WM 1 is placed after his appearance in MTIO 96. Obviously, we have a problem. The reason for the inconsistency has to do with the making of WM 1. I...

Kingpin and Wolverine in DD 196

DD 196 is placed after M/TU 135 in Wolverine's chronology. In the Kingpin's chronology, DD 196 is placed before PPTSS 80. The problem is that in Spider-Man's chronology, PPTSS 80 is placed BEFORE M/TU 135. So DD 196 takes place both before and after M/TU 135? *brickwall* Obviously someone's chronolo...

Re: Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four 1 (2010)

Come to think of it, did Peter actually attend the party? I seem to remember him grabbing a slice of cake throught the window. Is it possible that he never actually found out what the party was about? It's a stretch, yes, but so is the "Hank McCoy decided that a child missing was the perfect ti...

Re: Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four 1 (2010)

Established canon has Peter Parker entering ESU a few months after FF@ 3. Moving their order will definitely have a ripple effect. Where was this established? If it was just in the indexes, then we can ignore it. If it was actually established in a comic book, then we should consider the possibilit...
