But Cho stops being Hulk in the course of the main part of IH 717 (not only does he look different, more like a male She-Hulk, but he explicitly says "I'm not Hulk any more"). I realise that implicitly pushes it back to before "Return to Planet Hulk", but....

I was also able to get SM2 240 before IH2 709 but that required ignoring a reference to MIles in CHMPS2 22. Amadeus and Sam both appear in CHMPS2 22 but Miles doesn't *for reasons* (I've decided to ignore the given reason, because that reason messes thing up for Amadeus who actually appears in the issue).

ICE3 6-7 is a Champions reunion in the wake of Black Widow’s recent situation (so, shortly after SECEMP). Afterward, Iceman decides to move to Los Angeles.

ICE3 8 has nu-Iceman reference his Romeo problem, so after X:B 13-15. Kind of shortly after last issue because Iceman hasn’t moved to Los Angeles yet.

ICE3 9-10 is a day or two after last issue and the X-Men have a going-away party for Iceman. It’s been “less than a week” since the end of #8. Iceman decides not to move to Los Angeles.

ICE3 11 happens in a day and seems to be shortly before X:G 21.

VVERSE 1-5 is mostly alternate universe Venoms but Venom-616 appears (and he’s the only 616 character that does). Published (basically) between V 154-155. EVVERSE 1-5 are all lead-in stories to VVERSE and all take place in alternate realities. VVERSE:WS 1 takes place after EVVERSE 1-5 and before VVERSE 1-5, and is also entirely alternate universe characters.

WOV:VNAM 1 takes place entirely in the past.

MU3 6-8 features the villains from VVERSE, so, you know, this is after that. Kid Kaiju works for Damage Control now that SHIELD’s gone, so after SECEMP.

MU3 9 starts at some later point. MU3 10 starts at some later point (like, a few days or a week or two later?). MU3 11 starts shortly after #10 (like, a few days later, maybe?). Lockjaw and Karnak appear. #12 picks up from #11’s end and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur appear (an editor’s note says this happens before MG&DDINO 23). Published before VIZED 1-5.

MOKF 126 is a fun story on its own. Published way before Shang-Chi’s appearance in DOMINO3 1-6.

SSBL&WP 36 is also a fun thing on its own. No Wild Pack though (to no one’s surprise). On the bright side we find out (or rather, are reminded of) one of Silver Sable’s hobbies: “Nazi-punching is my jam.”

PP 63 is also its own thing off to the side. Alex Power is still off in the multiverse with the Fantastic family.

DHAWK 51 is also its own thing, but this time there’s a guest appearance (Talonar), same month as GOTG 146.

“DAZZLER: X-SONG #1” was originally solicited as “DAZZLER #43” and was published eight months later. I’m leaning toward placing it early on after SECEMP along with the other “continued numbering” one-shots. Also, it doesn’t say “X-SONG” anywhere on the cover, just “DAZZLER.” So, I guess this is DAZZ3 1.

HAWK5 12-16 happens over two days and it’s pretty great. Clearly after SECEMP and before DS:DAMN. Laura and Gabby appear in #12 (same month as ANW 27, but likely before ANW 25).

AMERICA 7-12 happens at the end of a school semester. I’m going to assume (again) that the fascist takeover of the US in SECEMP screwed up various school schedules and just place this shortly after SECEMP.

THANOS2 13-18 takes place largely in a possible future. The 616 bit has Thanos defeating the Chitauri.

THANOS@2 1 features the alternate future “Cosmic” Ghost Rider telling stories about Thanos, but it’s unclear if he’s talking about “his” Thanos or the 616 Thanos (I’m leaning toward the former). Also, it’s a trailer for the COSMIC GHOST RIDER series (which I haven’t read yet, but it sounds likea bridge between this and THANOSLEG).

THANOSLEG takes place during IWARS, but some flashbacks take place earlier. (4-5)-FB recaps THANOS2 18. (6-7)-FB takes place immediately afterward. (8-9)-FB happens at some point after DS:DAMN, and after T5 4 (apparently). The second story takes place in the past while Thanos was raising Gamora.

USQG2 22-25 is a super rad trip to the Savage Land (same time as U.S.A 8-11).

USQG2 26 is a jam issue where the supporting cast writes stories about themselves. There is a 616 bit where Squirrel Girl has a fundraiser to rebuild a library (same month as U.S.A 12).

USQG2 27 has Loki as a very recent Sorcerer Supreme. Kitty Pryde appears (same month as X:G 17-18). USQG2 27-30 has Drax (GOTG 148-150 and the month after) and Silver Surfer. Also in #30 the Living Tribunal appears, as does Beta Ray Bill ON A HORSE!

USQG2 31 has Squirrel Girl entering hypertime; only the first two and last two pages happen in Earth-616 (the rest is a divergent reality). Judging by the recap page we’re after IM 600.

USQG2 32 seems to be near the start of a school semester. USQG2 32-35 features Kraven the Hunter (same months as OML2 39-46 and published after V 155-158, JJ 15 & CA 697; probably after OML2 41-42). Mojo II (the sequel) appears. Also She-Hulk (published after SH 163) who is back to her classic status quo (yay!). Also Spider-Man (same as ASM5 1-4). Kraven appears to be reformed, but we’ll see how long that sticks.

Black Panther tries to reform Thunderball in BP 167-172, so in theory this is after IM 597. However, Thunderball appears again as a villain eight months later in SM/DP. I guess it didn’t stick.

BP6 12 (19-20) & BP6 13-18 lasts a handful of days and ends with some supporting characters captured. Doctor Faustus is already working with Klaw, so likely after SECEMP. Storm appears. BP 166 is basically an all-Klaw issue. BP 167 opens with Thunderball getting out of prison and it’s pretty clear he’s been there since BP6 16. Klaw starts messing around with reverbium in BP 166-FB, which BP 167 says was “months ago.” The captured supporting cast members are finally mentioned in BP 168 (people are upset that things don’t move as fast politically as they used to in Wakanda; they’re reminded that Wakanda is now a democracy and that THEY wanted it this way). The captured supporting cast members appear in BP 169 being transferred into their cells, so I guess we’re a day or two after BP6 18? Storm appears again in BP 170-172 (same months as X:G 21-26). Uh… hmn. BP 171 says that Thunderball has been invaluable “these past few weeks.” So it’s been a few weeks since BP 167? Um, how? I think someone’s getting confused about publication time vs. in-story time… Anyway, BP 171 finally sees Klaw defeated and the supporting characters freed, but it ends on a cliffhanger with the return of the Adversary (remember him?). Everything wraps up in BP 172. Storm doesn’t have her Thor hammer here, so likely before at least X:G 23.

In theory, this would all fall after IM 600 and before X:G 21. That’s currently a pretty tight window!

SM/DP is a pretty long-winded story. Shorten the "weeks later" in SM/DP 37 and this could easily go before IM 597 (at least unless later issues make this impossible), allowing Thunderball to be in BP 167 after IM 597. Note that Thunderball doesn't appear with the rest of the Wrecking Crew in IM 600, so he may have been recaptured at this point, allowing him to appear in BP 167 on. Also, although Thunderball is supposed to have been in prison since BP6 16, that doesn't really preclude him from getting out in the meantime. These guys are always busting each other out of jail.

True, but BP 167 addresses this. Shuri tells Thunderball (I'm paraphrasing) that since he's paid some penance for his actions, Black Panther is willing to make him an offer to etc. Meaning, "we" put you in prison, we told you not to break out, you didn't break out, now we'll make you an offer since you've shown good faith.

As for SM/DP, given that BP has been over for five months and SM/DP is still going (featuring a villainous Thunderball), it looks like Thunderball reverted to type (to no one's surprise, I'm sure). As you say, it's possible these later SM/DP issues could happen before BP 166-172 (SM/DP has been very long-winded), I'm reluctant to do that until we see Thunderball's next appearance. If he's a bad guy, there's no problem sticking with publication order (BP then SM/DP). If he's a good-ish guy, then we can blame the long plot in SM/DP and shuffle things around.

But really, are you willing to bet that Thunderball won't return to the Wrecking Crew and go back to robbing banks?

QS:NS 1-5 starts immediately after A 675-690. I'm a little confused, though.

Quicksilver saves the day but becomes 'unstuck from time'; he's moving so fast that everyone in the world is frozen to him. He pranks Human Torch by giving him an "I'm stupid" sign, he pranks Magneto by dressing him up like a clown, etc. He returns to Magneto in a later issue, and he's still dressed like a clown, so time isn't moving forward for everyone else (from Quicksilver's perspective).

However, when Quicksilver's problem is finally fixed, Scarlet Witch says time has passed while he was gone. How does that work? Shouldn't we still be in the middle of A 675-690? I guess not, because when Quicksilver runs past the frozen Jarvis he's not in the hospital. Scarlet Witch and Doctor Voodoo are looking for him, not fighting. Cap's hanging around the mansion, not fighting, etc.

MAYBE, when Quicksilver smashes the thingamajig he's pushed forward in time, then get unstuck where everything's frozen? Like, the force from the exploding McGuffin throws Quicksilver slightly forward through time, he skips across it like a rock skipping across water (which is how Scarlet Witch was able to sort-of track him but couldn't at first), then he gets unstuck (which is how she found him again)? Or something? *shrug*

FYI, I just updated the "to do" list to include recently announced books. I'm sure a good chunk of them will end up taking place after INFINITY WARS (like say, KILLMONGER and probably DEAD MAN LOGAN), but whatever. They're on the list.

Also, it's starting to look like INFINITY WARS isn't going to be a "crossover." I'm still not seeing any ongoings with tie-in issues, just linked miniseries'. Most likely at some point, whenever a proper "crossover" is announced we'll change the title of this topic to reflect that and move the cut-off point.

Deadpool appears in SECWARR2 7-8, wanted for his actions during SECEMP (same months as DP6 36 & DDP 287-289). Moon Girl appears with Devil Dinosaur in SECWARR2 6-11 (same as MG&DDINO 23-26). Ms. Marvel appears in SECWARR2 6-11 (same as MM4 22-25). SECWARR2 12 (Ms. Marvel, Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur), a “reunion-slash-birthday party,” came out the same month as MSM4 26 & MG&DDINO 27.

Karnak appears throughout SECWARR2 6-11, all published before his appearances in MU3 9-12 (which happens before MG&DDINO 23 according to an editor’s note).

Hawkeye learns that Black Widow’s predicament has been fixed in TOS 100-104, so at least after HAWK5 12-16 (where he’s unaware that it’s been rectified).

Ursa Major appears in TOS 103-104, published three months before his appearances in WX3 20-21.

I’ve tucked P11 16-17 into the tail end of the pre-SECEMP thread. It wraps up a subplot form the run and reads narratively better before the crossover. I mean, Punisher joined Hydra during SECEMP. P 218 likely happens after his appearances in DEF5.

MG&DDINO 19-23 happens over four or five days, while school is in session and when it’s snowing outside. Hmn. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur break up.

MG&DDINO 24 has no real mention of how long it’s been since last issue and guest stars Daredevil (same month as DD5 28). Mojo appears and his TV station is up and running, so after the X:G & X:B 13-15s crossover (published at the same time). Ends with a cliffhanger that features Thing and Human Torch (same month as M/TIO2 2). School season.

MG&DDINO 25 continues from last issue (same day) and features Silver Surfer (month before USQG2 27). Ben and Johnny are giving Moon Girl some stuff from the Baxter Building. #26 is the same day. #27 is the next day. #28 continues on the same day and then into the next. #29 is that same day and Devil Dinosaur returns. #30 is that same day and the plot finally wraps up. School season.

MG&DDINO 31 has no mention of how long it’s been since last issue. Also, Moon Girl fights the dangers of ~!SMOKING!~ And Swarm.

MG&DDINO 32 starts a 5-part story that isn’t finished yet. Kingpin is mayor and it’s autumn. Apparently the start of a new school year. Happens over maybe a week or so so far, and as previously mentioned, Thunderball has been replaced on the Wrecking Crew with Demolisher. So after BP 172, which means the still-being published story in SM/DP is before BP 166-172.

M/TIO2 1 start with Spider-Man giving the Thing a key to a storage facility where stuff from the Baxter Building is being stored. So, after ASM 790 & A6 11, and probably after UA3 30 (UA3 30 & M/TIO2 1 were published the same month). Also, before MG&DDINO 24 where Ben and Johnny are giving Moon Girl a bunch of stuff from the Baxter Building. Doctor Doom appears (same month as IM 595).

There could be a break between M/TIO2 1-2 if there *needed* to be. M/TIO2 2 has Doom appearing again.

There could be a break between M/TIO2 2-3 if there *needed* to be. In M/TIO2 3, Doom appears again along with Mad Thinker; Doom references IM 593, so after that I guess (“twice in two months”). Johnny reveals he’s already blown through all the money he inherited in UA3 30. Ben and Johnny find out why their powers are on the fritz.

M/TIO2 4-6 picks up from #3; Spider-Man (same as ASM 797) and Captain Marvel (after CM6 129) appear. Ben and Johnny start universe-hopping and Doom follows.

M/TIO@2 1 is more universe-hopping with Ben, Johnny and Doom.

M/TIO2 7 continues the universe-hopping. There’s a “meanwhile on our world” segment featuring Spider-Man (same month as ASM 801) which shows time is passing. How long? I dunno, a week or two? *shrug*

M/TIO2 8 has Ben and Johnny stranded in an alternate universe for at least “two months.” #8-10 has Ben and Johnny finally getting back to their world, but no word on Doom. Real Sue appears and gets the idea to put the band back together, so before FF6 1.

JIM:KRAKOA takes place entirely in the past and features SGT. FURY & HIS HOWLIN’ COMMMANDOS!!1`! It’s pretty great.

Just a quick note that Ben and Johnny also appear together in Falcon 6, so this should occur after M/TIO2 1. Their appearance together in Marvel Legacy should also take place after M/TIO2 1, and probably before M/TIO2 2 or 4. Falcon 6-8 take place "weeks" after Falcon 1-5.

M/TIO2 1 has to happen after the Baxter Building is sold, so after AM 790, which is after M/:LEG (because ASM4 32 is after M/:LEG). I don’t mind M/:LEG happening before M/TIO2 1; Ben and Johnny could just be getting together to remember absent friends (which, by the way, is what I ALWAYS toast to when having drinks. “To absent friends.”). The impetus for M/TIO2 1 is that Johnny is possibly suicidal; that almost certainly means M/TIO2 1 is after at least A 675-690 (which is obviously after M/:LEG).

MG&DDINO 24-30 really do have to happen after at least M/TIO2 1.

I ass-u-me (thank you, Benny Hill) that ASM5 1 (and maybe even PPSSM 309) is after M/TIO2 10 but I don’t know that yet.

On a completely unrelated side note, "Go 'Round Again" is a Benny Hill song that will be played at my funeral when I die (in 50 or so years).

Also, "Yakety Sax" is 98% of the reason why I took up the saxophone in junior high.

Also, M/R 0 happens near the start of a school year. Squirrel Girl is volunteer teaching a class and Ms. Marvel has to attend to make up for missed time in her high school curriculum. This is the same class Doreen is teaching in USQG2 32 (M/R 0 was published first).

M/R:A says that M/R 0 was “last week.”

M/R:SQG/MSM takes place during another class, which looks like is a weekly thing. M/R:SQG/MSM /2 is on the same day. M/R:MSM/SQG is also on the same day, as is M/R:MSM/SQG /2. Also, M/R:O (1-28). M/R:O (29-30) is “three weeks” later.
