A flashback shows Lorna Dane when she was three years old with Magneto and Mastermind in costume. This must be ten years before the start of the Marvel age and this is the earliest appearance of Mastermind.

Yeah, but I have serious issues with Magneto knowing Mastermind this early. For starters, Magneto isn't yet a villain in CX 19/2 and that story takes place after Xavier's become a teacher. (Claremont probably intended it to take place a few months before Xavier recruited Scott.) Also, Magneto didn't recruit Wanda and Pietro until they were in their late teens (shortly before the start of the Marvel Age) and Mastermind was nowhere around in any of the flashbacks detailing their recruitment or in X-Men minus 1. Admittedly, it's possible Mastermind did some jobs for Magneto while he was hunting Nazis or whatever and years later, Magneto decided he make a good member of his Brotherhood.
But maybe I'm just getting disappointed with PAD revealing that characters killed their parents and the memory was blocked- Banner, Lorna, who's next?
