MARVEL ZOMBIES 4 #1 (June, 2009)

FLASHBACKS:
Morbius records a video will. Zombie carries Deadpool’s head across the ocean floor and infect some Man-Fish with the zombie virus.
SYNOPSIS:
Morbius and his group fight zombie Man-Fish on a cruise liner. Menwhile, Zombie carries Deadpool’s head to the Black Talon. Black Talon calls the Hood to sell Deadpool’s head.

NOTE:
Where M/Z3 1-4 takes place immediately before Secret Invasion, this series takes place afterward, because Norman Osborn is in charge of HAMMER. M/Z4 shouldn’t take place TERRIBLY long after M/Z3, though, because Morbius and his team are chasing Deadpool in M/Z4 after his escape in M/Z3. “A week” is tossed around as to how long it’s been since M/Z3, but given the Secret Invasion crossover and Osborn’s rise to power, I’m not sure how well that can hold up.

SYNOPSIS:
Morbius and his group defeat the zombie Man-Fish. Meanwhile, the Hood meets with Black Talon to discuss buying the zombie Deadpool’s head. Dormammu warns Hood that Marbius’ group is coming their way, so Hood and the Night Shift confront them. During the confusion Zombie and the zombie Deadpool escape. Morbius inoculates the Night Shift with his zombie vaccine, but it mutates the zombie virus; the Night Shift are torn to pieces and the virus goes airborne. Elsewhere, Dormammu chats with Jennifer Kale, hoping to make her his agent on Earth.

SYNOPSIS:
Hood tries to teleport away, but he’s no longer powered by Dormammu; he’s overpowered by Morbius’ group. Meanwhile, Jennifer Kale summons Man-Thing and turns down Dormammu’s offer. The zombie virus cloud continues to move, eating people and raining blood and guts as it goes. Zombie and Deadpool continue to run from it. Charles Little Sky calls Morbius and says if they can’t contain the virus in an hour, he’ll have to launch a nuclear strike and vaporize everyone present along with the cloud. Zombie carries Deadpool to a Sandals resort, where a Roxxon super-security force (Ogre, Razor Wire and Lightning Fist) is evacuating people. The cloud eats the Roxxon super-folks, and uses their bodies to attack ad kill Man-Thing. When Werewolf is turned into a zombie and attacks Jennifer Kale, she calls on Dormammu for help.

MARVEL ZOMBIES 4 #4 (September, 2009)

SYNOPSIS:
The resurrected Night Shift (by Dormammu) attack Morbius’ group to stop them from destroying the zombie virus cloud. Meanwhile, the Zombie wonders what to do with Deadpool’s head. Jennifer Kale rejects Dormammu’s influence and Morbius’ group defeats the Night Shift. Jennifer Kale and Black Talon team up to contain the zombie virus. Man-Thing regrows himself and helps out. When Zombie returns, they place the virus inside him to keep it contained. Morbius contacts Charles Little Sky and tells him not to launch the nuclear strike. Hood, re-empowered by Dormammu, teleports himself and the Night Shift away. Meanwhile, zombie Deadpool’s head float away in a boat into the ocean.

NOTE:
Zombie Deadpool’s head will go on to appear in the Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth series.
