Wolverine #304 - who's the fat guy?
Wolverine #304 is Jason Aaron's final issue -- where Wolverine crashes Sabretooth's party and beats up all the villainous guests. It contains a LOT of callbacks to previous Aaron-written stories.
In this issue, a fat bald man with food dripped down his shirt front introduces the Jade Claw to the new pre-teen White Queen. ("Pet my penguin!")
Who is this guy? The only fat bald man from Jason Aaron's Wolverine run that I can think of is the Kingpin -- and Sabretooth specifically namechecked the Kingpin a few pages back, saying that he declined to attend the party.
I haven't read Aaron's "Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine" or "Wolverine & the X-Men". Could this guy come from one of those books?
Or is he a Wolverine foe from a non-Aaron story? Other old Wolvie foes show up here, like Daken, Wild Child, Roughouse and Bloodscream...
Also, uncannyxmen.net claims that Nitro and Madcap appear at the party. I don't see either one -- I suspect they're confusing Nitro with Wild Child, who also has long light hair. (Even though Wild Child's supposed to be dead ... ugh.) But I don't know why Madcap would even BE there.
Anyone have any insight on either Nitro or Madcap's so-called appearance here?

The first character that comes to mind is Fat Cobra of the Immortal Weapons, but why would he be there? He's not a villain.

He's not bald. And he also appears elsewhere in this issue -- in a quick cutaway to San Francisco revealing that he's the new Black Dragon.

Madcap is on page 3 panel 4 standing by Silver Samurai i believe. Madcap was one of the unkillable characters who Wolverine battled in Wolverine: The Best There Is. I don't see Nitro anywhere and have no idea on the fat guy.

Thanks -- I'd forgotten about Best There Is.
Here's the fat guy in question. Does this spark any ideas?

Must be the Kingpin whatever was said before.
Re: Wolverine #304 - who's the fat guy?
The Kingpin isn't so uncouth as to slop food all over his own front.
And I really don't think Jason Aaron is *that* much off his game, that he'd write on page 5 "the Kingpin declined to attend" and then ask the artist to draw the Kingpin on page 6...

Is it Blob with a shaved head?
"May the Light shine forever!"

I think Blob's still depowered and thin.
Say ... could it be AOA Blob? I think he came to Earth-616 in the Uncanny X-Force series, didn't he?

Well, the last time I recall seeing 616-Blob was in Uncanny #500, where he's advertising for his new weight loss program. I suppose he could have put on some weight since then... I'm not saying it's him, I'm just saying.

Re: Wolverine #304 - who's the fat guy?
AoA Blob is mostly bald, with a little "Strong Guy"-esque tuft of hair in the front of his head.
I'd be inclined to overlook the absence of the hair-tuft and assume that it's him, given the fact that villains from other contemporary but non-Aaron-written Wolverine stories show up here as well (like Madcap).

I think AoA Blob would really be out of place in this scene. I just don't believe this character was meant to be him.
