Re: All-New X-Men v1 #33
They are for all accounts thus far the past versions of the X-Men of Earth 616. I noted their universe designation since the entire story takes place in the Ultimate Universe.

As noted in a thread a while back, though, discrepancies between events of their home world and those of Earth-616 suggest otherwise. They are for all accounts thus far the past versions of the X-Men of Earth 616.

Their Earth designation is Earth-TRN240 according to Marvel Wikia:
X-Men (Earth-TRN240)
The path of the X-Men of this universe seemingly followed the same of their Earth-616 counterpart until the day when Beast from an alternate future traveled to their universe in order to inform them that the future was in a bad state, and that only these X-Men could help fix it.

Meh. We don't follow Marvel wikia.Antonio Gaviño wrote:according to Marvel Wikia:

Also, "TRN" means "Temporary Reality Number." Which means it's a number the wikia made up as a placeholder and is nowhere near official.

Re: All-New X-Men v1 #33
Here's a question to Brian Bendis on CBR
BendisI'm loving the "All-New X-Men" series but I cannot help but think about the ramifications of the All-new crew going back to the past. Will this create a splinter timeline once they return? Maybe an "All-New X-Men" title that reflects how the modern X-Men world would look like if they retained their memories of present time? My mind is blown by the possibilities that could result from them going back home.
Discrepancies or not, this is the writers intent.[Laughs] Yes, and I'll further the mind-blowing with the following -- I know that some people have just decided, flat-out, no matter what we say, that this is a splinter timeline or this is a separate timeline. They are not. They are from issue #8 of "Uncanny X-Men," the end. Not from a different line of X-Men, not from a separate universe. There was no splintering. This is the Marvel Universe, they've traveled to the future in linear fashion, but time is not linear.
Most people get their time travel logic from "Back to the Future." That is good. That is great, I love that. But there are other philosophies of time travel that we are hinting at from "Age of Ultron" all the way through that are worth exploring, that bring us much more interesting storytelling; scarier storytelling. Some of it will be revealed in the "All-New X-Men" and "Uncanny X-Men" Annuals with Eva, who -- as you see from the solicitations -- will be traveling through the Marvel Universe, both past and future. She will see things and find things out about time travel, about herself, about the Marvel Universe that will affect her personally and reveal things about the nature of the world that will frustrate the hell out of or excite many readers.

And the man orchestrating this is continuity stickler Brian Bendis.
Let's hope he explains how Iceman knew Unus in All-New X-Men #7.
Recalling a previous post I made:
"In that issue, young Bobby Drake notes that he actually touched Unus the Untouchable, but the original X-Men didn't actually meet Unus until LATER in X-Men #8. That encounter occurred a "week" after Beast plucked the original X-Men from pages 5-6 of X-Men #8."
