Note: When Carol thinks about comrades who have submitted to the Black Vortex, an image of Cosmic Gamora, Cosmic Beast and Cosmic Angel is seen. However, I don't think this qualifies as a flashback. On the other hand, the panels showing Gara kneeling amongst the dead Viscardi probably is a FB.

Can we interpret the panel showing Beast, Angel, and Gamora as an actual appearance? Carol's thinking about them, and we the readers, see them elsewhere at that moment?

That interpretation is...not impossible...but to me it looks more like a symbolic tableau instead of a photo of a "real" event.
