Weapon X Draft - Agent Zero

Hello.

Currently, this issue is listed as a normal, currently happening events issue.
But I believe that most of it should be treated as a flashback, at least up until the page where Zero misses the killing shot on Wolverine.
The whole issue is accompanied by caption boxes of Agent Zero talking to Wolverine as if he is writing a letter to Wolverine and remembering the things that happened to him since he was brought in by Sabretooth up until the point he misses the shot.

I bring this to your attention because it seems unnatural that this issue is placed way before the rest of the Draft issues. I think it should be placed along the other Draft issues (the TPB places it as the last Draft issue).

All the one-shots came out in August, weekly, in this order:

WX:SAURON, WX:WC (both on the 7th), WX:KANE (on the 14th), WX:MARROW (on the 21st), WX:DAZERO (on the 28th), and that’s the order the TPB went with.

Also, WX2 0.5 says it’s to be continued in the one-shots, then in WX2 1.

So yeah, it’s odd that WX:DAZERO is before WX2 0.5. Let’s take a look at these things.

WX:SAURON is where Colcord assigns everyone to bring in a new recruit to Weapon X. I’m not sure why there’s a break in this issue; Sauron is noted as ahead of schedule to get a recruit and he returns on the same day.

WX:WC-FB is six months ago. WX:WC (1 - 20) is Wild Child’s recruitment mission (which takes two days) and WX:WC (21-23) is three months later.

WX:KANE is Kane’s recruitment mission, which he fails at.

WX:MARROW isn’t a recruitment mission, but Mesmero and Kane are sent after Marrow to make sure she actually does her assassination of D’Gard.

WX:DAZERO (1 - 9) picks up after W2 166, and is where Maverick is turned into Agent Zero. Agent Zero, Sabretooth, Colcord, Jackson and the doctors appear.

WX:DAZERO (10) is a Weapon X meeting, probably early in Agent Zero’s time with the group. Agent Zero, Sabretooth, Wild Child, Copycat, Kane, Sauron, Mesmero, Colcord and Jackson appear.

WX:DAZERO (11-12) spans some time while Agent Zero works for Weapon X. Zero appears, and Colcord is BTS.

WX:DAZERO (13) is where Agent Zero contemplates suicide, and is probably where he writes the letter to Wolverine. Only Zero appears.

WX:DAZERO (14 - 22) continues the letter’s “narration,” but is also where he tries to kill Wolverine. Only Zero, Wolverine and Colcord appear in this part.

It’s tempting to put a big gap between WX:DAZERO’s pages 9-10, but Copycat appears on page 10 and dies in DP3 59. So all of this has to happen before DP3 57.
