Although, there's a wrinkle in that he's killed off (calling himself the Dark Avenger) "63 Years Ago" in Marvel Comics #1000 (the 1950 page), despite being at the GA heroes reunion in CA 442...

Certainly a contradiction, though not insurmountable. Given what death is like in Marvel, he may just have gotten better. Or perhaps that is an impostor, an elderly fan of costumed crimefighters crashing the event.

Carstairs also appeared in "Ant-Man: Last Days" #1 (October, 2015), as one of the retired heroes in Valhalla Villas, Miami.
