Conan: River of Blood #1-3

CONAN: RIVER OF BLOOD #1 (June 1998)

SYNOPSIS:
Conan and Valeria row their way through the Black Kingdoms, hit some rough waters and fall down a waterfall. When they resurface they’re surrounded by crocodiles. From afar, Enduin, who can talk to crocodiles, tells his 20-foot long crocodile Old Bull to bring the strangers to him. Conan and Valeria are surprised when the crocodiles retrieve their boat and supplies. They follow the crocodiles and meet Enduin, who tells them that his tribe, the Go’hengi, are defending themselves against the M’ruki tribe. He offers them his guest house until things cool down. That night Conan and Valeria fool around.

CONAN: RIVER OF BLOOD #2 (July 1998)

Conan, Valeria, Enduin & the Go’hengi tribe (inc Bewayo, Kuja), Huyenghan & the M’ruki tribe (inc Joshele, crocodiles (inc Old Bull)

SYNOPSIS:
The M’ruki tribe attacks and wounds Enduin, so Conan and Valeria drive them off. The Go’hengi tribe arrives and as he dies, Enduin says he recognized Conan as Amra, that he gave control of the crocodiles to him, and that they’ll help against the M’ruki. Soon after, Conan leads raids on the M’ruki. Later, the tribes enter a battle as the crocodiles arrive.

CONAN: RIVER OF BLOOD #3 (August 1998)

Conan, Valeria, Go’hengi tribe (inc Bewayo), Huyenghan & the M’ruki tribe (Losso, Eujka), crocodiles (inc Old Bull), fire breathing snakes

SYNOPSIS:
Everyone fights. The crocodiles arrive as reinforcements for Conan. The M’ruki tribe’s shaman gains control of the crocodiles and summons fire breathing snakes. Conan is forced to kill Old Bull, then kills the shaman. With the M’ruki defeated, the Go’hengi tribe gives Bewayo all the credit. Conan and Valeria decide it’s time to leave.
