Wolverine (and possibly others) Riot at Xavier's placement

First and foremost I wish everybody a happy new year

I've been reading all the X-Men issues around this period, and I have found a problem in Wolverine's chronology which may happen in other characters chrnologies as well, I haven't checked.

Currently, Wolverine's chronology is as follows:

Riot at Xavier's occurs in NXM 135-138

And, as far as I know, is referenced in UXM 422, when Alpha Flight shows up at the mansion to take away the kids, and also in XX 24 when Cannonball reads about it in the news.

So, even though Wolverine does not appear in UXM 422, I don't think it is correct to place all those UXM issues (along with the Exiles crossover) before the Riot.

UX 422 came out the same month as NX 139-140. And yes, on page 13, panel 3 the riot is mentioned:

--and he has determined that in regards to your school and its recent "riot"--

The recent Uncanny X-Men Index says this:

Alpha Flight mentions a recent riot as reason to fear for the children's safety, referring to NX #135-138, '03 - but chronologically, this issue must precede that story. Perhaps Alpha Flight was actually referring to the Shi'ar attack on the school, in NX #123-126, '02.

I don't recall the *reason* why UX 422 must precede NX 135-138, though.

Jean doesn't return to the mansion until the end of NXM138 (When she finds Scott with Emma) and Cyclops leaves pretty much immediately after in NXM139. The conflict is in the fact that both Jean and Cyclops are both present at the mansion in UXM423 and thus there's no point in time post NXM138 where this could fit.
Cyclops doesn't return until after the Weapon Plus stuff but by the time he's back Jean and Wolverine are both stuck in space; there's just not another point in time where they could both be at the mansion after that.
