X-Men Adventures v1 and v2 and Adventures of the X-Men occurred in the Sixth Cosmos, the multiverse that existed prior to the current Marvel Multiverse, and is the same multiverse that held the universe that Galan (later Galactus) hailed from. In Adventures of the X-Men #12, that universe was destroyed by the Dweller in Darkness, and then it fast forwarded to Reality-616 for the last few pages.

Since Secret Wars, the current Marvel Universe is now the Eighth Cosmos, as shown in Ultimates2 6.

At one of the panels he made it clear (after one of my questions, natch) that Marvel's history didn't change after SECRET WARS; everything happened and some things got "fixed." (for example, Magneto died during Last Days and was alive afterwards. People assumed the past had slightly changed but no, he was resurrected by Xorn. It got "fixed") No, Cebulski wasn't EiC at the time, but this is the current editorial view that Marvel has: the past wasn't changed.

That was also confirmed by editor Jake Thomas in answer to my letter printed in BW8 12: "Secret Wars 2015 did not destroy untold years of of established continuity. The Marvel Universe was put back exactly as it was before the cascading collision of multiverses destroyed it. Some things came back slightly changed, but nothing too dramatic, certainly nothing that erased the stories you loved."

My take on it is that we're in the 8th Cosmos since Secret Wars as per Ultimates2, but that this 8th Cosmos has been put back together as though (almost) nothing has changed, unlike previous iterations of the Cosmos, which may have been significantly different. One major difference is that a number of E-1610 residents ended up in E-616, but it now appears that E-1610 also still exists.

Yes, most of that series is set in Galacus/Galan's home universe that preceded 616. However, at the end of #12, there is a flashforward to 616, and the 616 X-Men briefly appear. That appearance should be acknowledged by MCP.
