Night Nurse's chronology has a handful of glitches that could probably stand to be fixed. Some of them are in the teen-humor era that the MCP hasn't indexed a lot of yet; some are more recent.
I'd argue that there's no reason for Linda Carter, Student Nurse not to be 616; by publication date (and since I don't think there's any information to the contrary), Linda's appearance in Patsy Walker #99 goes between Linda Carter, Student Nurse #3 and 4. (She also appears in a couple of issues of Patsy & Hedy, but on pin-up pages rather than in a narrative.)
Linda also appears in NN 4 -FB, although not in the main body of the story.
She's currently listed as appearing in FOUR 28, but I can't seem to find her in there; Christine Palmer is in that story, and refers to herself as a "night nurse," but I think she means it generically.
Linda appears (as a very tiny figure) in the panel of CW 2 where we see the resistance (she's standing next to Jane Foster, who's also not listed as appearing in that issue)--CW 5 confirms that it's the two of them.
Linda also appears in CW:X 2 (which would be between CW 2 and CW 5).
She's listed as appearing in DR:EL 4 and 5; she's definitely in DR:EL 3, and not in DR:EL 5.
So I'd propose:

Speaking of Linda Carter, I was cleaning out my e-mail and was intending to post something about her.

Night Nurse came out in 1972, so it was relatively recent when that X-Men issue was produced. It's not that unusual for Claremont or Cockrum to add in little cameos using mostly forgotten characters.

Re: A few notes on Night Nurse/Linda Carter
Linda, Christine and Georgia are all depicted as young student nurses in Linda Carter, Student Nurse, so they're in their late teens when they enroll. Night Nurse begins with them having just graduated as registered nurses, so this is likely about three years later. In the more recent Marvel appearances, beginning with DD2 58, they have been depicted as somewhat older women. I would suggest that all of LCSN & NN occur prior to FF 1, and that PATSYW 99, which we've placed early in the modern Marvel era, occurs between NN 1-4 & DD2 58.

Re: A few notes on Night Nurse/Linda Carter
I'm not seeing PATSYW 99 in the MCP. I do see PATSYW 114, though.
PATSYW 99 was published 10 years before NN 1-4 (as was Student Nurse). Also, PATSYW 99 was published between Student Nurse #3-4 (and between FF 2-3).
I'm assuming Linda Carter was a student nurse in PATSYW 99?
Also, I've flipped through my copies of NN 1-4 and I'm thinking these are intended to be a Linda and Georgia cameo in X 101.
Also also, Stuent Nurse is on the Checklist, albeit on the Timely/Atlas one.

Re: A few notes on Night Nurse/Linda Carter
Pretty sure Christine and Georgia don't appear in any issues of Linda Carter, Student Nurse. (I've just checked 1, 2 and 9, but can look again at the others.)
LCSN was not the first series to have the "MC" Marvel logo on its cover, but I believe it was the first to have that logo as of its first issue!
Linda is introduced as a student nurse in PATSYW 99: she comes to one of Miss Bliss's classes to talk to the girls about going into nursing. She graduates from the student program immediately after the end of NN 1. (I assume a little time goes by between NN 1 and 2, since the nurses have to take their NCLEX exams...)
I wouldn't have guessed that those were the particular nurses we see in X 101 (for one thing, it looks like the middle of the day...), but I'm willing to buy that they are!

My guess is it's early in the morning in X 101 (on page 7) and they're just getting off their 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift.
Also, if you have the Student Nurse comics, would you be willing to analyze them for the MCP?

There are gaps between each issue of Night Nurse. Issue 1 is Late Summer, and the three girls have just graduated. Issue 2 is Autumn. Issue 3 is Christmas Eve, and issue 4 is Winter.

Re: A few notes on Night Nurse/Linda Carter
Well, I guess this is what happens when I have insomnia...
Linda Carter is blonde in NN and has dark hair otherwise, but her hair's variously brown and black in LCSN, so I figure she just likes changing its color a lot.
