Probably should mention that Story Two establishes that Ferret (Leslie Lenrow) and the Operative (Dennis Piper) are the same person.

Hmm. Depending on when the story is set, this might fix the seeming problem that the Ferret apparently murdered by Nazi agents in 1940 in The Marvels Project but was then up and around in good shape in Marvel Mystery Comics 70th Anniversary Special. set in 1941. Maybe Lenrow died in 1940, and Piper assumed his identity. I guess until we get further evidence we can add that possibility to the other options, which would include him simply being resurrected between stories or Marvels Project suffering from unreliable narrator syndrome (which it definitely does anyway, at least in terms of the mentions of Brian Falsworth's origin story).
