Happy Marvel Day!

Post by Col_Fury »

Today's date is 6/16 and you know what that means; it's Marvel Day!

Whatcha reading to celebrate?

I should be reading the Barry Windsor-Smith Machine Man mini, because it's set in the year 2020, and this is Marvel Day 2020, but I'm not. Instead I'm reading Savage Sword of Conan #4 (at the moment, and probably more issues later).

Of course you could watch something instead. Thor: Ragnarok, perhaps?

Winter Soldier is next on my reading list. But if you've been paying attention, you probably knew that.

I think Captain Marvel is up next for us.

I have just started rereading the first issues of Hickman's Fantastic Four, where you can already read the first signs of Secret Wars. What better way to celebrate the 616 universe than with the stories that led to its destruction? :D

On the television and film side, I am in the middle of a vision of the canonical universe of Star Wars, I am ending Star Wars: Rebels, in order to move on to reading Marvel comics in the future.

But maybe tonight I could treat myself to a rewatch of Spider-Man: Into Spider-Verse, which would seem decidedly on the subject.

All excellent choices (and cats)!

I ended up pulling out Machine Man. Couldn't resist. :)

Also, Other places are celebrating Marvel Day as well! This thing is finally getting some traction.

Marvel's editor in chief celebrated Marvel Day as well!

They called it "6/16 Day," but still. :)

Also, Cebulski says that the Prime Marvel Universe is still Universe-616. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
